I travel for work very frequently, so I am no stranger to hotel stays. I really enjoy this hotel for the staff. I have stayed here almost 10 times in the past 6 months, and I am always greeted with friendly service. However, I've had a few problems different times I've stayed at the hotel. A few times I've gotten a great complimentary upgrade. When that happens, my room is nice. But when it doesn't, my room has smelled very stuffy, like a strong mildew smell. This has not been the case (thankfully) the past 3-4 times I've been there. I use the fitness center every morning when I stay at the hotel. Other than the TVs on the treadmills not functioning properly, it has everything I need. Breakfast, for me, leaves a lot to be desired. The hot food (scrambled eggs and biscuits and gravy specifically) taste very strange, and I do not have a picky palate. I generally love the eggs at hotels, and don't mind if they're powdered or out of a carton. I'm not sure why these taste differently. Other Mariott hotels generally have a few healthy options, but this one doesn't have any whole wheat toast or english muffins. The only healthy option for me is the oatmeal, which I'm not a big fan of. I also would love for breakfast to go until 9:30 so I have some more time after morning exercise. It ends at 9 sharp, and sometimes, it's completely wrapped up by 8:50. I've had a situation before where I've grabbed my breakfast, left it in my room for me to eat after exercising, and asked the front desk if they could ensure if my room is serviced that my breakfast didn't get thrown away. They said they would, but I came back to my entire untouched breakfast thrown away, so I was unable to have anything that morning. This is a trivial matter, but I was also pretty upset I couldn't get ABC in my room in my last stay. Again, the staff is always extremely friendly and makes up for the lackluster experience I sometimes have here, but some things leave a lot to be desired in comparison to my business trips staying in other...
Read moreI'm afraid there are a lot of negatives here. First of all, I did like the layout of the room during our 4 nights stay. However, If I had known it would be on the side of a busy highway, I would not have stayed their. The highway noise kept me up most of the night. Now that I know, I will ask for a room opposite of the highway. It was impossible to get comfortable in the room. The couch (sofa bed) was extremely hard and awkward to sit on, so I ended sitting of the desk chair which wasn't much better.
We had a light in the refrigerator/microwave cabinet that would not come on. After talking with the front desk, a maintenance person was sent up to fix it while we were out. Upon arrival the light was on, but would not turn off by the wall switch. This time there was no maintenance person on duty for a few day (because it was Thanksgiving) so I had to find a way to unplug the light myself.
Your breakfast staff could be a little more friendly. As soon as the lights were turn off at the end of breakfast, I went up so see if there was perhaps more sausage. I was simple told "No", But knew they had some, they just wanted to get out of their. By they way, why don't they offer some sort of potatoes (hash browns, potato toots, etc.) with breakfast?
It's also the little things that you notice about the room. There was a knob missing on one of the sliding glass panels on the desk, made it difficult to open. One of the toilet paper holder was broken, and it must have been the only room with a bent screen on the window facing the outside.
There was a fan in the shower section in the room, wish there was one in the toilet section also for obvious reason when pooping.
Besides that, everything else was fine. The bed was a little too soft for my liking. The place was clean and the check in/out process was great. Front desk staff was friendly enough, although I was a little put out when they couldn't get someone to fix our...
Read moreWe stayed from 03/14-03/21 a total of 3 adults and 3 kids. We came to look at houses in the Warner Robins area from out of state. We didn't arrive at the hotel until around midnight. We noticed the room was not cleaned properly, all the pictures I attached show how it looked when we first arrived. I didn't take pictures of the tile flooring, but it was sticky and dirty. The sink in the bathroom with the shower was also not draining. Since it was late I went the next day and asked the front desk if we could have the room cleaned because it was not cleaned before us arriving, and that the sink needed to be fixed. Later on the maintenance guy came, but I was in the shower so my husband told him he needed to come back. He never did come back and fix it. The room was not cleaned besides our beds being made everything else was the same. A couple days in after sleeping on the bed it had moved and that's when we had noticed the box spring that appears to have blood or some type of bodily fluids on it. Why not clean it? The first 2 days house cleaning came in and cleaned but after that nothing so Monday the day before we checked out my husband asked a lady cleaning the room next to us if they could come and clean since our room had not been the last 4 days she said she cleaned our room the first 2 days, but then we weren't on her list anymore ( which is weird we never put the do not disturb on our door or told the front desk we didn't want our room cleaned). She said she would come and clean. She came while we went to get something to eat and look at more houses. When we got back she had replaced our towels and made one bed??? Why just one bed? Other than that the breakfast was just okay but I don't expect to much from a free breakfast. Overall I wouldn't stay here again i expected more from a Marriott hotel. I've stayed in California close to the beach in Dana point, and paid way less than this and never had...
