Teriyaki House — Restaurant in Macon

Have supported this place for years. Always Chicken Teriyaki w/ double meat (chicken thigh meat). Unfortunately, my experience here since Covid times has been less food, worse atmosphere (not clean), and at a much higher price.. Always an excuse for cost…..Covid, inflation, bird flu, “we have not raised price in years” but every time I go in it is getting higher. They even switched to smaller containers (less deep) for their food so they provide less food that way in addition to smaller portion sizes in general. The cost of my Chicken Teriyaki order was nearly $24 and of course they ask for a tip. Nearly $16 was meat because he told me when I got the total that the extra meat was nearly $8. See picture below. Previously, that was less than a regular portion of meat. The reduced size container is full of rice. Anyway, I am done . HORRIBLE, GROSS & UNPROFESSIONAL! When I first arrived she took a call in order before taking mine, the two people that were behind me received their food before me, then as she was preparing my order I saw her pick up a few fries off the counter(which was dirty) and put them in my plate. When I confronted her about it she lied and said the fries were sitting on a receipt as if that was any better. Was told no when I asked for a refund (paid $15 for an 8 piece combo). Ended up throwing the food away. It smelled & looked HORRIBLE! Also on my way out I saw two bugs crawling around the drink machine. PLEASE...

Overpriced for the type of service and quality! Prices in store are higher than what is listed on their website. I am in town for the weekend and was recommended this place. I was not impressed. I have been in other similar fast food style hibachi restaurants that were half the price and included YumYum sauce, where this place charged. Their menu also stated their items included mixed veggies; my mixed veggies included some cabbage, a small amount of fine shredded carrots with two small pieces of broccoli.
