A Hidden Gem: The Brady Inn is Southern Hospitality at Its Finest
From the moment we stepped into the Brady Inn, we were swept into a world of historic charm, timeless elegance, and unmatched hospitality. Every inch of the property is thoughtfully curated—from the vibrant wall colors to the period furnishings, delicate crown molding, and cozy nooks that invite you to sit a while.
Jennifer welcomed us with a warmth that made us feel like family, not just guests. She anticipated our every need and made sure we knew where everything was—from the always-stocked drink fridge to the irresistible plate of freshly baked cookies that greeted us each afternoon. Those cookies alone could earn this place five stars!
The bed? Heavenly. It’s not often that we find a bed so plush and comfortable that we have to force ourselves to leave it in the morning. The linens were soft and luxurious, and the room was quiet and serene, allowing for the best night’s sleep we’ve had in ages.
Breakfast each morning was a delight thanks to Dot, who clearly cooks with both skill and love. Each dish was homemade, perfectly seasoned, and served piping hot. It felt more like visiting your favorite relative than staying at a hotel.
There are thoughtful details tucked into every corner—the antique decor, cozy rugs, fresh flowers, soft lighting, a quaint dining room with hand-painted floors, and a well-stocked coffee and tea station. It’s all designed to make you feel pampered without pretense.
We’ve stayed at many bed and breakfasts, but The Brady Inn stands in a league of its own. Whether you’re here for a romantic escape or a peaceful retreat, this place is a true...
Read moreSo I just returned from a two-night stay at The Brady Inn, and I couldn't be more pleased to offer a stellar review. I'm so glad I chose it over a regular hotel out near the interstate. The location is perfect ... on a quiet neighborhood street but a quick two-block walk to the square. The inn is actually two homes joined together by a beautiful breezeway making for a nice courtyard. I stayed in the original Brady home, which dates back to 1885. It may be old, but MAN it is CLEAN! The Patrick Brady Room I stayed in (which I was told was originally the ladies sitting room) was extremely comfortable. High ceilings, original hardwood floors, and a bed that was amazing. Small bathroom, but all the requirements (including plenty of hot water). Clever touches all around. Andes mints in my room. Hershey chocolate kisses in the parlor. Homemade cookies in the dining area in the afternoons along with complimentary water and soda. Even post cards and stamps for guests (donation requested to offset the cost of postage). Communications with Jennifer were clear and timely, and service in the dining room was fantastic. Now to Ms. Dot's breakfast. Oh man, was I spoiled! Hot and ready every morning at 8:30. I ate things that I wouldn't normally eat but she had a spin on them that put them over the top. The hospitality was truly Southern to the core and I would highly recommend The Brady Inn to anyone looking for an authentic Madison...
Read moreI dont know where to start because there are way too many wonderful things to say about this place and the staff. The rooms are so beautiful and very spacious, the location is great, walking distance to everything but a quiet street at the same time. We rented the rooms for all the guys in our wedding party since my wedding was in Madison. And we actually celebrated our rehearsal dinner at the Brady Inn. There are 100 things that can go wrong and/or be more complicated in organizing an event if you dont have the support we received from Jennifer and all the staff. They were extremely nice and very helpful, welcoming, and accommodating. They were also very understanding about the last minute changes. Now the breakfast is the most delicious breakfast you will ever have. Its amazing!!! All my wedding party and the family and friends that attended the rehearsal dinner are in love with the Brady Inn. I had the rest of our family staying at two other hotels around the area. But they cannot compared to the Brady Inn. By far the best place to...
