have been staying at homewood suites in Manchester, CT since May 30th with my 3 young children. My home was in a fire and I am waiting for the repairs to be done in order to move back home. Today 6/30 I was in my hotel room when I received a call from the front desk employee who claimed to be the manager. Her name was Deborah Robinson. Deborah proceeded to tell me that due to hotel policy I was not allowed to stay in the hotel past 25 days. She said the person who extended my reservation wasnt supposed to. ( unfortunately that is not my problem and I should not be penalized for an employees mistake ) My current reservation is until July 6th but Deborah took it upon herself to change my reservation to July 1st ( tomorrow ) and ordered me to leave tomorrow and that I would not be able to return or book a room until after a 7 day grace period. I then asked for the number to corporate. I called corporate and spoke with guest services and the woman I spoke to didn’t really offer any help. Guest services spoke with hotel front desk and they told her that it’s hotel policy and there was nothing they could do but book another hotel for me ( which is inconvenient ) or wait to speak with the general manager of the hotel. I then go down to the front desk where there was no staff and waited patiently. Deborah comes from somewhere in the building to the front desk. I said hello can I get the general managers contact information. Deborah points to the cards at the corner of the desk and I grabbed all 3 cards on display. Deborah then says oh you don’t need all of those some are the sales manager and I said oh I’d like to grab them all so that I can get some help. I then told her how I think she handled things irresponsibly and that she could’ve been courteous enough to let me and my children stay until our reservation was finished. She then says I’m not here to argue with you and that I should take it up with the manager. So I say oh I thought you were the manager and she did not respond because she in fact is not a manager at all. I did say she lied about her role in the hotel and proceeded to walk away when she sarcastically says have a great day. I continue to the elevator where I call Brenden the REAL general manager. When I call it goes to the front desk. Deborah picks up the phone and I ask to speak with Branden, she says he’s not here and I said I’m ok with leaving a voicemail. She “ transfers me “ but the call disconnects. I go back down to the front desk and Deborah is dealing with other guest so I wait patiently. When she is done I go to the desk and explain that I called and she didn’t put the call through. She says to me what is the message I’ll tell him and I said oh no I’d like to leave a message myself. So I call the number I have for Branden in front of her so she can pick up the call and transfer me correctly. She does and I leave the voicemail as I’m in the hotel lobby so that Deborah can hear me. As I proceed to walk away again Deborah sarcastically says have a great day and I said you too I hope you sleep well at night and she said I do! Frustrated at this point I call Hilton guest services once again seeking some type of help. As I am on the phone with guest services I explain the situation and they say they will contact the hotel to speak with the front desk. On hold for quite some time at this point and guest services returns and says I’m sorry for the wait I’m having trouble getting a hold of the hotel ( obviously becomes this employee is not suitable for this position ) so she places me on hold again. When the guest service rep finally returns she tells me that the reason I am being asked to leave is because I have had a lot of altercations and cursed out an employee which in fact did not happen at all! So again Deborah is lying. The guest service rep offers to do a 3 way call with myself , herself and Deborah. The service rep then ask Deborah to confirm her story and before she was able to talk I said she was not being truthful and that I would like to see proof of...
Read morewhile I’m in the room and I get a call from the front desk from a women named Deborah who claimed to be the manager. She made up a fake hotel policy and said that I can’t stay in the hotel past 25 days so I asked if I check out can I check back in and she said no you have to wait 7 days ( another lie ). She took it upon herself to change my reservation. I call Hilton corporate 3x and they didn’t help at all. So I call the general manager Branden and leave a vm. He comes in this morning at 7am and I’m literally in the lobby waiting for him. I tell him what happened and he starts saying how he just got here and he needs to look into this ( look into what idk cause his employee out here making up policies that don’t exist ! ) i know they don’t exist because I spoke with Dan whom is Branden’s boss. Anyway Branden “ looks into it “ and comes up with this new made up story that I’m actually being kicked out because I got into an altercation with one of his employees ( racial profiling) so I say who me ? I haven’t argued with anyone! They must have me confused with someone else. ( I say racial profiling because there was an incident by the grills with an employee and another Spanish woman that was there and I happen to be downstairs using a grill too ). I ask for a video and he says the video has no audio and I said idc you can see who is arguing and he said he doesn’t have the video L O L ! He said he could extend my stay until tomorrow ( as if he’s doing me any favors ! My house is still being fixed ) he then made up another story saying he heard from the grapevine that I got kicked out of my last hotel ! Mind you I have only been at Hilton since the fire ! He didn’t do any research on the matter just sided with his employee and made more lies ! I packed my things and left and spoke with his boss Dan who is hopefully going to do his due diligence and figure out what the heck is going on in the homewood suites! I was dealing with all this like what in the actual ** is happening rn. I didn’t stay the additional day because I felt uncomfortable and at this point they will accuse me for anything ! I never been...
Read moreBefore I say anything I just want to note that I’ve stayed in over 100+ Hilton Hotels and have reached a half a million Hilton Honors Points as a Diamond Member.
I stayed here because I had my annual presentation at the Regional Headquarters in Connecticut. I had to be up at 5:00am so I went to bed around 8:30pm, that’s when the noise started. The best I can describe this noise is the sound my Dewalt Impact Driver makes when I get the screw in all the way (sort of a grinding noise). I let the noise go until about 9:30 because I originally thought it was something someone above me making noise. I called downstairs and asked the desk if they were doing construction or heard any more complaints. The guy said he would call me back. He calls back. “umm sir, the chief engineer said it’s water in the pipes and should stop soon.” Holy hell there’s water in the pipes!?!? Who woulda thought water would be in pipes? Anyways. It didn’t stop. 10:30pm another call goes downstairs. “Sir, the chief engineer said he is taking care of it.” Well needless to say the noise is still going on every 5-10 minutes like clockwork, even as I write this review. Unfortunately I have to stay in this room again. He didn’t offer to switch my room but did offer me a free night. Guess what, my company pays for me to stay here so a free night means nothing. I don’t want a free night, I want sleep. Maybe I’ll go down and look for this “chief engineer”. Room 222 is the room with the noise. It’s constant. Highly recommend you try another Hilton location in the area. Very upset I was lied to by the front desk about “the chief engineer fixing the water in the pipes”. Don’t make the mistake I did and choose another hotel. I walked into the biggest presentation of the year in a boardroom of executives on 2 and a half rough hours of sleep. The noise is so unbearable I had to stop at the hardware store around the corner today to pick up industrial...
