NEVER GO BACK AGAIN ! We walk through the mall and all of a sudden this little girl is screaming this blood curddling scream for "mommy" and people start looking around to see where it coming from, now this is about 8pm so there is a bunch of other families WITH KIDS in the mall at this time. Get over to the "Pagoda" just outside Barnes & Noble which do pierceings and this guy has a little girl in a full body wrap around her arms and legs to keep her immoble while the "mother"(?) just watches the kid scream and the "attendent" of the booth finishes the kids second ear, all awhile the girl is still screaming for "mommy" as people look on. So I ask "Do you know your drawing a lot of bad attention" and the booth attendent looks at me and says "We do piercings here, it aint hurting her and its none of thier or your business". I asked "Did you think about getting ice from the Wetzel Pretzel across the way to numble the ear lobe before piercing her ears ?" and the "male" says "It ain't your business or anyone elses what I do to her. Go away". This incident along with finding out at least three stores including the one I wanted to go into, are now closed completely really rounded out my experience after driving an hour one way...
Read moreBuckland Hills Mall has always been my favorite mall since I was a kid and still is. You simply can’t get enough of the lively food court, or even the surrounding atmosphere and architecture put into this mall.
The mall might seem dead during the week, but the weekend is when most people of all ages generally come: kids, teenagers, adults, and families. The highest traffic in the mall of all-time has been around the Christmas holiday, with record breaking amounts of people each year.
My big shout-out stores would go to… (don’t worry it’s not anything basic like JCPenny)
Lilli’s with its soothing feel, selling jewelry, black light posters, hand-crafted items, Japanese snacks, samurai swords, and much more that you would never expect at a mall.
AAO with its urban streetwear clothing store selling ripped jeans, SprayGround graphic backpacks, winter puffer jackets, graphic t-shirts, and more as well. The perfect place to increase your style game.
The reason I choose buckland mall is because of its diversity of people that come here, and the stores it has to offer. It is certainly a mall...

The internet and online have really changed the dyanamics of shopping, and I feel Buckland specifically has taken a hit. There are some empty stores here now, and the stores that are open are often expensive. I don't see it very crowded here on most occasions now, but I feel the selection of stores has also been diminished. Gamestop is no longer there, and there are mostly clothing, beauty, or music/video stores left. Outside of that, Gamestop, Sears, and among others either closed down or left. I feel the mall has a niche for very specific guests, but other than that, there isn't much more exciting here. Higher prices and online...
