Where I start is with the traffic. It appears they've closed down an exit to the hotel, and now you have to get off on a side road, then take a one way bridge to the hotel. One of those one way bridges with a red light where one side of the bridge lines up with traffic, you wait 5-10 minutes then you see all the traffic that has lined up on the other side come past. You do this every time you come and go from the hotel. Then, when you get across the bridge and arrive at the hotel, there's no clear cut place to turn into the hotel. The normal driveway has been done away with due to construction. So you're hanging out there, on the road, with 5-10 minutes worth of impatient traffic behind you, and no clear cut place to turn (the hotel is on your left). I, like many before me, cut through a dirt field. You can tell how many people have tried to figure out where to go by how many dirt roads have been driven into that field. There is actually a little makeshift road, but there's no way to know that, especially with the pressure of all that traffic. Then, even when you do figure out where it is you need to go, there's going to be a massive line of traffic blocking you, waiting to cross the bridge the other way. So if they don't let you in, you're blocking traffic, which is remaining on the bridge waiting, and no one is going anywhere. At some point you may have to just keep going, go all the way to the end of the line of traffic, and do a u turn at the back of the line, then start waiting again. Then when you arrive there's the two liter bottles of almost empty soda packed with cigarette butts. There's old cars that obviously don't run that have sat there forever. And there seems to be a crew of employees who are oblivious there is anything wrong. I actually asked for a smoking room, because after a night at the club, sometimes I want to smoke. They said there were no smoking rooms available. Got in the room, there's cigarette burns all throughout the carpet and it smelled like a very lame attempt to cover up the cigarette smoke. The pillow was way too thin, I couldn't sleep on it. I went to get ice, they don't have ice. I called to get a wake up call, they don't do wake up calls. They are a weekly place trying to advertise as a nightly place. Throw me a bone and give me a wake up call. I tried to get a soda, they have no soda machine. I am not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOh boy where do I start. Lets start off by saying if i could rate it 0 stars I would. Not because the actual location sucks or anything, but the management certainly does.
I highly encourage all who want to stay in Marietta to look elsewhere. Source: Previous employee and I do not care if they see this. People deserve to know.
The "managers", putting in air quotes because they don't manage a damn thing 99% of the time. They make the front desk employees do everything. Including being IT technicians, plumbers, electricians, mediators, and Spanish translators. To name a few. They straight up told myself and other employees, there will be days when we won't be here, YOU have to deal with the problems. Normally that's whatever, most problems can be solved by the receptionist anyway. But when it comes to situations where a manager is needed, suddenly they're no where to be found. And if they ARE at the location, they are DISGUSTINGLY rude to not only the staff, but the guests who pay their bills too. On several occasions, I've had guests come to me, saying they hate the management. They don't like how rude and much of an attitude they have. They make up rules and fine people for breathing in the wrong direction. And then leave the front desk to deal with the backlash. Its absurd. And if the front desk dare complain or ask for help, there is none to be given or they get fired. They fired the only property manager they had and refused to elaborate why. She might have had issues but at least she was on the property doing her job :/
It's truly a shame how little they care about their employees and guests who stay there. I don't want to dissuade anyone from making their own judgements, but I would definitely stay here with a backup plan at the ready incase they decide to ASSUME you've broken a rule and fine you.
I will leave it at that since this review is already long enough. Thank you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had to be out of my home with in 4 days, this location was 3 miles from where i was moving from. Ideal place for us temprary. went in to check out the room took pictures so i know how much room to work with. Then when we had the truck LOADED and checked in the room was COMPLETELY different. I was told that the rooms were identical, then i was told that the room we looked at is a "SHOW ROOM" A.K.A. Bait and switch. Then when we decided to leave with in a hour of being there we were told we had to wait to get our CASH back because the manager is the only one able to open the safe. Came back the next morning at 8am and after the long memorial day weekend the Manager called in sick and i couldnt get my money back. My ole man went off and he called the number on the business card from the lobby and they stated that they were not part of the EXTENDED STAY FAMILY, which he informed them that all of their supplies and shirts they are wearing have the Extened Stay logo. The clerk stated to call or come back in a little while he may have the funds from other customers in order to give us back our money. With in an hour my ole man called and before he could say anything the clerk advised to come back he had the funds. Bad enough you lossing your home and then you got these jack a**es want to play games with what little money you got. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO...
