I stayed there for two months on a business trip it was a nice hotel when I got there. Room was nice comfy chair, but was one disappointed they didn’t have breakfast like other hotels they have this weird five dollar charge for a microwave breakfast sandwich and add on that was just weird and sounds super gross.
And the maid service is also different they one clean the room every four days and if you put the do not disturb sign in the door they will still come in on the eight day no matter what.
I think the maid service at this hotel was the worst I have ever dealt with. They didn’t clean the room properly when then actually did clean it. You know how I know this there would still be paper or a something on the floor when I came back to the room. Worst of all I had used the last of the toilet paper leaving for the day and when I can back I except there to be toilet paper because that should be on whatever room cleaning list with making the bed, but nope came back after working a long day and no toliet paper. I was pissed and I don’t usually complain but I had had it!
Also while I was up there I had to work mostly on second shift so I’d sleep later maids would continually wake me up. I got sick of them waking me up so I put the sign on the door and then after eight days they put a note under my door saying they would be in no matter the sign another annoyance.
I also had the loudest neighbors in the room above me banging sense the time I work up till the time I got back from work and for a second time had to complain.
And the elevator stalls for a good 20second before it lets you off. Which after two months is super annoying.
Also this place does not have a pool or hot tub which was also a disappointment. If I had a choice I would not stay here ever. The only reason I did was because I had no choice. They only thing that saved this from being a one or zero...
Read moreWe came up to Marquette for a wedding and started calling around to find hotels that were avaliable. After calling two other hotels that were full we located my place hotel and they had rooms avaliable. While on the phone we were patched through to a woman who barely spoke English. She was abrupt but not really rude, as of yet. Upon advising her that the $250 a room was ok she said that she just had to add up the fees and taxes. When she added it up it was almost $400. When asked why it was so expensive she could not, or would not answer the question she just said fees. From what a could gather from her, they charged us approximately $130 for "cleaning fees" . I asked her if there was anyway she could discount the room. This is about the time she raised her voice on the phone and just repeating that I needed to say "yes" to these fees. After a short time going back and forth over price, I finally broke down and decided to pay the $400 because we needed the room. She was again very abrupt and quite honestly I was ready to get off the phone.
Once arriving the hotel staff that was very nice were having computer issues which caused us to have to wait for an extended period of time in the lobby.
Once getting to the room it first appeared to be a decent hotel. Until going into the bathroom where there was toilet paper and a couple wrappers in the trash. We also noticed a bar of soap already unwrapped. It also appeared the soap was already used. So we threw that away immediately in the trash with the toilet paper that was wodded up in there already.
Lastly throughout the night there were several drones and other noises that made it difficult to sleep even though it was about two in the morning.
Ultimately, I will never stay in a My Place hotel again. This the most I have ever spent on a room for just a single night and it is by far one of the worst ones I have...

My indication that a room is CLEAN is when the in-room coffee maker does not need to be washed before using & it was spotless. Full size refrigerator with an ice maker was great! ||All the staff we interacted with were pleasant & happy to help with needs||A/C unit worked perfect & was easy to adjust to our preference.||Now the cons: |The room has a cooktop but nary a pan in the room to be able to use it. Ample cupboard space but no dishes or silverware either. In room coffee maker but only 2 paper cups. There is a table with 2 chairs but no other chair in the room. The chairs at the table are rather uncomfortable for relaxing. ||Hotels allows dogs & that’s fine but put those rooms together please! I was woken at 6 am by the sound of a large breed dog barking quite a bit in the next room. Most hotels have pet rooms at the end of the hall, not in the middle. ||Our handicap accessible room does not appear to have a high commode but there are adequate bars near the toilet. The shower unit has bars but we had to ask for a shower chair, that I was told was in the room at booking.||One light switch turns on 3 overhead lights; the kitchen area, table & closet. I would have liked to just turn on the table light so hubby could sleep a little longer. This set up...
