Hampton Inn Martin — Hotel in Martin

Not the norm for Hampton Inn- In the past 3-4 months, I have stayed at Hampton Inns at Alabama, North Carolina, and TN. This location in Martin TN was definitely different. My room was very clean, and bathroom was very clean. Difference in this area, this location did not provide the standard body wash. Only had the shampoo & conditioner and lotion. Not a fan of the brand Hampton has choosen in general, but I try to travel with minimal supplies. The smell is not pleasant but I was still expecting it to be available. This is minor, I was able to use the tiny bar of soap. It should be noted that this location does not service rooms on the daily but they did offer to make this right if it was requested. My 2 weeks in AL, service was daily. Then breakfast. This was lacking in every sense of the word. Coffee was not hot, but drinkably warm. Typical continental breakfast was available. They did have pancake/waffle batter (I don't eat these but they had it available.) The hot foods (which is why I like Hamptons), was minimal. The day they served biscuits and gravy (my heart was so ful of joy to see those biscuits sitting on a tray), and then I opened the gravy container and found some white watery goo that was suppose to be gravy. Not only was there zero meat available. There was zero seasoning in that flour water. This area is lacking immensely and I left without eating to go find another restaurant. Don't get me wrong- In general, the staff is very pleasant when you approach them or ask for assistance. But in 3 mornings, I was not greeted one time by anyone. Not a big issue, and maybe I have just been spoiled at other locations because if you ask a member of the staff for assistance, they are very accomodating, just not the norm from previous Hampton...

We spent 3 nights in a studio suite. The room was well furnished, totally clean, good lighting, good size TV. BEDS SO COMFY. Room temp perfect. Quiet hotel, no hall nor outside noise. Bathroom tub had safety features on the wall for safe in and out of tub. Nice area just inside the door with counter microwave, fridge,etc. Amazing staff. They were a blessing during our stay, due to an event which was taking place Thursday, Friday and Sat I was only able to book Tues and Wed but also needed Thursday due to a funeral on Friday. On Wed I asked the VERY helpful young man at the desk if he could check for cancellations. I was in luck and he was able to extend our reservation through Friday. That was a huge relief and I am still SO grateful. Their desk staff are Super in every way. So helpful, great personalities, really helped make our stay great. Housekeeping was also very helpful and friendly. Included breakfast was handy and nice. They have trays in case you need to take food to the room, very helpful for me to take my husband breakfast due to him being less mobile. |Parking is good, easy access to outside doors. Good lighting at night. Very safe area. No problems. Also some restaurants within walking distance. They are located very close to UTM campus. |We have stayed here several times in the past while visiting family and have ALWAYS had an exellent stay. We will be returning fairly for family visits. I HIGHLY recommend Hampton Inn Martin!! It is tops in every way. Looking forward to...

This was our third stay at this hotel, as options in Martin, TN, are limited. We remain loyal to the Hilton brand, but we have some concerns about this particular location.||Upon entering, there is a strong chlorine smell that permeates the downstairs area. Additionally, the hotel is quite dated, with old furnishings, wallpaper, and an overall musty odor, indicating a need for updates.||Our room was not thoroughly clean; for instance, there was a buildup of dirt in the bathroom corners, suggesting that cleaning protocols could be improved. The shower also had drainage issues, which was inconvenient. The breakfast provided was lacking in quality, so if you prefer a substantial meal, I recommend seeking options elsewhere. Additionally, it’s worth noting that rooms are not serviced daily, which may pose challenges for some travelers. We also noticed that the pool water was cloudy, raising concerns about its cleanliness.||On a positive note, this is still the only hotel I would recommend in Martin due to its great location, comfortable beds, and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. My suggestion for the hotel would be to consider a remodel to enhance the guest experience and encourage repeat visits. Additionally a thorough evaluation of up to date cleaning protocols should be implemented...
