I took my wife to the movies in Martin, TN on a Monday, and I called the Dragon Buffet to make sure what time they closed. I was told they closed at 9:30 pm. The Dragon Buffet isn't the best Chinese food in the world, but it's about the best you can find in Martin, TN, so I had planned to take my wife there after the movies. We got to the restaurant at 9:10 pm, and the hostess refused to seat us. The staff was already cleaning up in the dining room, and the cooks had removed most of the food from the buffet tables. This is such a crappy way to do business, and it sure doesn't show any respect for their customers. My wife and I left the restaurant, but I called from the car and asked to speak with the manager. The "supervisor" on duty told me the manager was not there. I asked who the owner was, and was told that she couldn't give out that information. So, I will never eat in this crappy...
Read moreI am sitting here right now in the restaurant. I was very skeptical to eat here after reading some of the reviews. It is 2:37pm and there has been fresh food continuously placed on the buffet the whole time I have been here. I am very happy my 5 year old son wanted to try this restaurant out or I would not have been here. The food is fantastic and delicious. The price to value ratio is at its best. I tried a little of almost everything on the bar to be sure I could give a honest and full review. The sushi is standard but fresh and on spot. The soups and hot food all have a balanced flavor and was pleasing to eat. I usually eat at the buffet in Union City, but if I’m in this area (Martin), I will not hesitate to stop and eat here. Thank you for...
Read moreI had lunch on Thanksgiving here because I had been wanting to try it and it was the only place open. The staff was very friendly. Since I was the only diner when I got there, the place was really clean and pretty much untouched. I am not sure if they changed the menu for the holiday, but there were a couple of staples items that weren't on the buffet that I was hoping for. It was no big deal though. I enjoyed what was available and would recommend it. I think the price was slightly higher for thanksgiving but it was a fair value. If I'd come later there may have been a broader selection. I would recommend that if they do a holiday spread, add some of the traditional side dishes. The turkey was okay but I had to pour egg drop...
