This was one of my worst, if not the worst, travel experiences ever! I have stayed at Wyndham hotels all over the country and have never felt the way I felt after my experience at this hotel. To begin with, I was greeted with accusatory tones when I told the front desk worker that I was using a third party vendor (Uplift/FlexPay) to pay for my stay. She claimed no virtual credit card was on file, which was not true after speaking with FlexPay the next morning. After finally providing a credit card we use for emergencies only, we were given a room after waiting close to an hour "for my manager to respond". We get to the room about 1 am, move our stuff in only to find a bug in the bed (I have pictures of this if you need proof). We could not call the front desk from the room because the phones did not work. I called from my cell phone and the person came to the room, did not come in to see the bug, but did provide another room. The next morning, I called FlexPay, who said the VCC was on file and asked to speak to the front desk. I went to the front desk and this is where things completely went down hill. Harry or Henry was working and he was rude and not helpful at all. He would not follow the requests of the FlexPay representative so the room could be charged to this account, not on the emergency credit card. He would not simply send an authorization so they could email him the VCC for payment. He was not going to do one single thing to help me. He asked why I provided that card if it was not what I wanted to pay with. I could not get him to understand that I had to get to a room because my daughter needed to get to bed and that was the only way we could get her to give us a room. I paid for two nights at this hotel but opted to leave and not stay Saturday night because of the treatment I received from these people and this hotel. ||Harry or Henry also could not find me in the system. He stated there was no one with my name in the system in his system and that I did not have a reservation at the hotel. He kept stating that the only Penny in his hotel was a last name other than me. It took me providing my confirmation number for him to find me. Not a very efficient or safe process in my personal opinion. ||I also asked to be placed on the first floor because my daughter was in pain and stairs were not ideal for her. The front desk representative stated we were on the second floor but she could try to get us on the first but was not sure she could. There were rooms with windows open with the same beds we requested that were unoccupied. She really was not considerate at all. ||Wyndham has always been my go to brand for hotels but individuals like this running hotels under the Wyndham name are not good brand ambassadors. I am a gold member with Wyndham rewards if that tells you how much I support this brand. I will say that this experience has impacted my thoughts on the...

Read moreThe Days inn that you absolutely do not want to spend days in. I wasn’t expecting much it being a small motel but what we found was horrifying. If we did not bring home bed bugs, we brought home some kind of bug. If everything wasn’t booked up we would have left. If I saw the room before we checked in I would have left but we bit the bullet. Only thing that was “clean” was the sheets, which still had cig burns, hair and lint. We had a “non smoking room” which smells of legal and non legal smoke, with a sign that says the hotel is 100% no smoking and a sign in lobby says we offer smoking rooms… there was a hole in our wall with boot marks going up it. We had two refrigerators, one was broken and the one that worked had food and a exploded coke in it. Bathroom was “freshly renovated” I assume by someone who has never used a tool in their life, the handrail and faucet was pulled out of wall, ice bucket was dirty, the mirror had what I hope was toothpaste all over it. Toilet was yellow from not even attempt of cleaning. The water seemed potable, I did not test. Mold painted over and not painted over on ceilings. The floor in the room wasn’t even attempted to be cleaned, we had large items on the floor when we entered and cleaned ourselves, the nightstand was pulled out a few feet and crooked, behind it was a legion of dead bugs, someone’s breakfast, lunch and dinner. The chairs in the room were covered in cereal. The TV was newer and worked well. Again we did not go into this stay with much expectations, but we expect a attempt to at least vacuum and a spurt of cleaner on the toilet. We did not have a positive ID on bed bugs but we found some that were close to call. We left everything possible in our car and upon arriving home we left it outside and washing and disinfecting when coming in. We had multiple friends at this place in different rooms, some seemed like they got at least vacuumed, but I did not stay in the place longer then somewhere to sleep. Their rooms also smelled heavy in a “non- smoking “ room. You can also tell that multiple people are living out of the hotel. old grills, tires, random building materials scattered around the property, and poor modifications made to the building. They advertise breakfast, but even if they are making it I wouldn’t eat on the property. I feel bad if someone inherited this property in bad shape, but honestly it needs to be gutted and then some. The “managers” seemed ok to deal with but If they let us stay in that bad of conditions to begin with, I didn’t want to deal with them anymore, I would be embarrassed if I took someone’s money to stay there. The Walmart parking lot is cleaner. Also beware of card being ran multiple times. Not sure if this was on purpose or accident but the other group had the same “ sorry” story. 10/10 would sleep in my car next time or in the woods vs staying at...
