The Blue Swing Shaved Ice — Restaurant in Martin

I would love to be able to give a review of their shaved ice, their service, prices, flavors... anything, really. Unfortunately, I cannot. Because they're NEVER open. There's nothing worse than a business that consistently shows open on FB and Google, but isn't. I can't count the number of times I've tried taking my kids there, expectations high, only to get there and find it locked up tight. PLEASE post current hours!!! UPDATE: We finally found Bue Swing open and were able to try them out and I can honestly say I wish we hadn't. Who knew we were better off all the times we went by and they were closed? First off, the prices. I realize this is a special Summer thing, but that doesn't mean that the owners should use the inability to stay open all year as an excuse to charge so much. These treats are priced like they're handcrafted by unicorns under a blood moon. I did some research, and they are 41.95% higher than the national average. I get it if it's a niche product, or something that has expensive ingredients, but this is ice and flavoring. It shouldn't cost almost $20 for 3 cups of ice, with the girls still expecting (yes, rudely expecting) a tip. My daughter wanted to try one of their ices with condensed milk on top. You would think for the prices that they would at least get the order right, but they didn't. We got to the car and she noticed her ice didn't have any condensed milk so I told her I would take it back to the window and see if they would add it. The girl jerked it from my hand like I did something wrong by asking for my drink to be fixed and stared me in the eye as she drizzled about a half teaspoon worth of condensed milk on the top of the mound of ice. At first, I was a little mad that put that small of an amount, considering it cost extra but it ended up being a blessing because it ended up making my daughter sick. I know everyone has their own opinion, but this just wasn't a good experience for us. Maybe if we had been treated a little better, I wouldn't have minded the 1000% markup quite as much. It's hard for me to wrap my head around paying that much when the product is just ok and the service is horrible. Always a great experience and so friendly. I wish they had one of those portable hand washing stations though like they put out at big music events! And a trash can! Since there is no bathroom it'd be nice to wash hands before getting back in the car!!...
