Yamato Japanese steakhouse — Local services in Martin

I’m not sure why, but our server was extremely rude. She rushed us through every part of our service, and acted as if it was a bother to her to refill drinks or to grab spoons for us for our rice. I had my 8 year old and my 12 year old, and she had no patience when asking them what they wanted to drink. She even raised her voice when my son asked for Fanta, and responded so mean as if he knew they didn’t have it. She snatched the menu from my oldest and ignored her when she asked for a refill. The food was good. We normally order it on DoorDash & just decided to come in for our weekly outings. However, people who were sat well after us received their food before us, with the same server being very nice and patient with them. She didn’t even tell us to have a nice day or any type of farewell once I paid, I still tipped. I’m not angry, I understand culture. I just won’t be going back or ordering from this...

I think it's shameful to leave a buiness a bad review here during such a hard time. This place has always been clean and the food is always fresh and delicious. Maybe next Pandemic comes around some people can give a little more grace to the people who were doing all they can to stay open and make dinner for our families. It's going to get worse before it gets better. If you can't go pick up your food with patience for the situation and grace for the people who are working through it then maybe you should just cook at home...

Not worth one star honestly . I know everyone is busy with takeout orders at this time, during the current pandemic. Simply put if can't run your business under these circumstances please do not do so. We just spent $40 dollars for takeout food that was cold before it ever made it in my hands .. I can go down the street (literally less than a mile)and pay $15 dollars for the same amount of food at a fast food restaurant and at least get hot food.
