Soy cliente de Rooms To Go desde hace muchos años y nunca había tenido problemas. Siempre he sido fan del servicio al cliente en las tiendas de Hatillo y Arecibo, donde el trato es excelente y profesional.

Mi experiencia reciente con la sucursal de Mayagüez fue todo lo contrario. Hice una compra online desde mi casa en Virginia, y el sistema de chat automático me conectó con un vendedor sin indicar en qué tienda estaba ubicado. Más tarde descubrí que la orden fue procesada por Mayagüez.

Cuatro días después intenté cancelar la compra, que estaba programada para entregarse en dos semanas, y fue entonces que me informaron que solo tenía 48 horas para cancelar sin penalidad. Me dijeron que si cancelaba, se me cobraría un 20% del total de la orden, y ese dinero solo lo recibiría en forma de voucher para usar en la tienda.

Nunca se me explicó esa política claramente durante la venta. Fue la gerente de Mayagüez quien me dio esa información, y para colmo me dijo que pasara por la tienda en persona, sabiendo que vivo en Hatillo, a más de una hora de distancia.

Fui a otra tienda y yo argumente que esa penalidad es opcional, y que aunque está en letra pequeña en el contrato, no están obligados a aplicarla. Esto se trata de una política arbitraria y abusiva, aplicada a conveniencia de la tienda.

Como cliente leal, me decepciona profundamente este trato. Rooms To Go debe ser más transparente con sus términos y capacitar mejor a su personal para no tratar a los consumidores de esta forma.
