Migas — Restaurant in Mayagüez

The food here looks good in pictures and in person, but the taste was a big letdown. We ordered the "champions breakfast," and the potatoes tasted like oil—really off-putting, while writing the review my husband is still disgusted by the potatoes. I couldn’t eat them and neither did my husband. The pancakes were bland, my husband says they tasted raw, and they barely had any fruit on top. The only thing that was good was the coffee and the atmosphere. It's definitely overpriced for what you get!!!! If you're into bland flavors, maybe this is for you, but honestly, even Waffle House or Cracker Barrel from the states have much better flavor so I’m pretty sure you can find a spot with cheaper prices perhaps not that aesthetic looking but with great taste. Este restaurante en la PR 114, ha mejorado desde su comienzo. No obstante aún hay aspectos en los cuales debe mejorar. Entiendo deben mantener una actitud de aprendizaje y el personal debe ser adiestrado apropiadamente para proveer un servicio adecuado. Pase un momento un poco desagradable cuando mi café fue servido antes que una mimosa que ordené y tuve que esperar mucho tiempo por mi desayuno, mi compañia ya le habían servido y casi estaba terminando de comer. Lamentablemente el café ya estaba totalmente frío al tacto, al llegar mi orden de alimentos. Aún no había puesto mis labios en la tasa. Dispuesto a consumirlo pedí al personal que lo calentará, pero no accedieron ( aunque hubiera aceptado que lo calentarán en un micro hondas). En la gastronomía se sirven los líquidos ligeros y fríos primero y luego los más pesados y calientes. Entiéndase, una mimosa ( en este caso) se sirve antes que un café. Esto también para evitar malestares. Entiendo deben informar y adiestrar al personal a que conozca estos detalles para que los comensales tengan una experiencia positiva y placentera y no terminar con un brunch arruinado. La comida, de igual manera, debe servirse al mismo tiempo en una mesa para evitar que algunas personas tengan que esperar demasiado mientras que a otros se les enfrían sus órdenes de alimentos. Esto es algo básico que demuestra consideración hacia los clientes.

El café a pesar de su buena presentación quedó intacto sin poder ser consumido y devuelto al personal de servicio, debido a lo mencionado anteriormente.

La presentación de los alimentos y bebidas es apropiada. En general el personal es agradable, aunque se nota su tensión cuando hay poco personal y muchos comensales. Me gustaría volver a Migas cuando estos aspectos relacionados al servicio mejoren. Entiendo tiene mucho potencial pero igualmente tiene mucho espacio para mejorar.

This brunch place has excellent customer service. Clean tables and speedy service. I ordered the ham omelette and the green tea latte. I enjoyed both. However my husband ordered the chicken and waffles with sprite. He said his chicken was nothing out of this world and he could taste the breading but he really enjoyed his waffles and once he added salt to his potatoes he liked it all.
