My fiance, Michael, went to Saxon Jewelers because he had heard from my family how kind, honest, artistic, and talented Mike Saxon is! Michael worked with Mike without my knowledge to design a ring for me, and he had a great experience! Here are a few of his thoughts:

"I enjoyed getting the opportunity to meet Mike and share all of my ideas about what I envisioned in making the perfect engagement ring. He was easy to talk to, answered all of my questions, and I never felt pressured during the process. He was honest and informative about every aspect along the way and took note of all of the preferences I had in mind for the ring. The design he was able to come up with was truly incredible in capturing all of my ideas and combining them into such a special and personal ring! I was even more impressed when I got to see the finished ring in person for the first time. I was instantly blown away and loved all the detail and handiwork that Mike put into making such a beautiful and unique ring! I knew right then that this ring had captured everything I could have imagined and more, with just the right personal touches, and was going to be the perfect ring to propose with!"

Michael managed to keep it a secret that he had gone to visit Mike, but when he proposed and I saw the GORGEOUS ring, it only made sense when he told me that he and Mike had been collaborating on designing the ring for months! Michael told me the story of bringing ideas and photos to Mike, and I truly was just blown away at Mike's ability to combine and bring all the beautiful ideas into the perfect intricate harmony! His artistry is incredible! I could not have asked for or picked out a ring for myself that was as beautiful as the one he was able to create! I may have a personal bias of how much I love and appreciate this beautiful ring, but when I have strangers, friends, and family alike stopping me- not to say, "it's so pretty"- but to truly stop in their tracks and genuinely marvel at how "gorgeous," "incredible," or "magnificent," it is, I truly believe it reflects just how talented Mike is!

First let me say that I could not be happier with everything surrounding my experience working with Mike Saxon! And I recommend him wholeheartedly and without reservation for any kind of jewelry creation or repair. His knowledge, care, enthusiasm, and skill should earn him more than 5 stars!

I just left Mike Saxon after picking up the ring I had left less than 2 weeks ago to be repaired. The ring is a treasured heirloom -- a gift to my grandfather from my grandmother in 1928. Since inheriting it about 60 years ago, I have rarely taken it off, but recently a split developed in the band that I was told by another "jeweler" could not be repaired without recreating the entire ring. I went online searching for antique jewelry repair and Saxon Jewelers was the first one to show up. Probably because he has a 5-star rating - and well-deserved. As soon as I walked into his understated shop I was impressed with all of the gorgeous pieces on display, but it was his demeanor and knowledge and explanation of how he could repair the ring that made me confident that I could trust him with my prized possession. And, he was truly excited about working on it - knowing how much it meant to me. Not only did he repair the band, but he was able to recreate much of the detail that had been worn off after 91 years. As someone who had very little jewelry buying experience and next to no jewelry knowledge, looking for the perfect engagement ring was a daunting task. I visited as many stores and talked to as many jewelers as humanly possible, but deciding to go with Saxon Jewelers was far and away the best decision I made throughout this whole process (besides proppsing to my girlfriend, of course!) I had a pretty good idea of what I was looking for in a ring to make it as personal and special as possible, but (and as I suspect most people is my shoes would be), I was nervous about finding someone who would get my vision and could do it right AND within my modest budget, especially as it was going to be a custom job. Mike Saxon came through on all counts. He was awesome to work with and made a SPECTACULAR ring that my fiancee can't stop staring at and showing off. He even called and emailed me often so that I could come in and see how the process was going. This is not the kind of service you'll get at most places, and I appreciated getting to witness it step by step. If you want to buy a piece of jewelry that's going to turn out beautiful, be special for the receiver, be made by a trustworthy and immensely skilled jeweler, and that's not going to bust your bank account, I cannot recommend Saxon...
