On February 6, 2021, we spent $4900.00 in two chairs (we paid both in full on the spot). One we took home right away, and were promised a service call to touch up some spots where the wood part is scratched, three months later, no one has called or contacted us about the repair. The second chair was a special order, and we were promised to receive it at the beginning of April. Mid March, the sales person contacted us to confirm that the item would be available for us to pick up in early April. It is now the last week of April, and no one contacted us. Thus, my wife went in to the store, spoke with the same sales person, who checked on the computer and could not tell her where the chair was or why we haven’t yet received it; all the while, the sales person acted as ‘bothered’ by being inconvenienced. She did not offer a solution, nor provided any incentives of any kind and treated my wife with disinterest; she didn’t even offer an apology. Her interest in us, as customers, was only shown until the sale has been made and the merchandised paid in full. After $4900.00, one chair at home is still not touched up as promised (we paid the full price of the chair; it was not discounted), and we do not know where the second chair is, when we will receive or IF we will receive it. To be clear: the products we bought and the ones on display are excellent; the way we were treated was not.
UPDATE: Since the original posting of this review, the president of the company has reached out to apologize and to resolve the issue. We are still waiting for the chair which, we are told, has shipped, but I have to say that the president’s response was quick, responsible, and it speaks highly of him. Read moreMy wife and I were in the market for living room furniture and had stopped at a couple of places during the last week of May 2021. We weren’t having much luck with furniture or sales personnel! We decided to stop at David’s Interiors (then David’s Furniture) in Mechanicsburg on our way home. We were extremely lucky to have a salesman by the name of Duane Bell approach us. Little did we know at the time Duane wasn’t a salesman but an extraordinary interior designer. Duane spent hours with us going over materials, contrasts and designs going over and above to make us feel at home and giving us the value we were looking for. Duane even came out to our house to go over fabrics and designs. We were amazed! We were informed we had a 7 month lead time but we knew this was the furniture for us, so on 1 June 2021 a deal was made. Our furniture arrived today, 19 October 2021. Not only was it delivered, but none other than Duane arrived as well. They not only delivered our new furniture but for very small fee actually took our old furniture down into our basement for us. Duane set up our new furniture for us (what a keen design eye). He also set up the basement for us in a way we had not even discussed. There were a lot of decisions for us to make, and the selection process spanned well over the course a year!! Thankfully, Cerise was very patient … she was there with us every step of the way — and when I say step, I mean steps! (I am sure that we logged quite a few, walking the showroom as many times as we did!)
