This should be a one star hotel. Two dirty rooms in a row! Terribly old furniture that looks questionable. Unfortunately, the rooms reeks of cigarettes and mildew. The three star rating is over rated, from parking to lobby appeal to the lack of parking lot security ( they decided that blocking off access to the secured parking was a good solution to some problem); it is all wrong. This place is not worth the $100 cash deposit they require. Our first room was dirty, and when I went down to change rooms, the lady was kind but only gave me one key and there are two occupants. We got to our new room to find all the same issues. So, I gather they're not giving a second thought to enhancing cleanliness for the safety of the guests and EMPLOYEES. The elevator is dangerous, knocking and rattling and humming the whole ride, also, the walls are covered in a old dirty carpet. Only two lamps and a small wall light to illuminate the entire room. The bed has no bed skirt. Blood stains on the under side of our comforter. The boxes springs are yellow. Instead of a souvent there is a top sheep over the comforter. There seems to be a large pool of subpart hotels in Memphis and they are all the ones under $100 a night. This is one of that community. I would expect this from a motel on Lamar near the strip clubs rather than a hotel that claims to be to travelers and the airport specifically, especially during today's new normal with Covid-19 is at yet another hight this season. If I catch anything, including bed bugs, I will know where it came from. If it weren't already 2 am and We didn't have work in the early morning we would get our money back and leave. Plus who puts only three pillows in a king sized bed. Never coming back and advising that you don't either until they do a complete remodeling of their systems for cleanliness. Our new room also has no phone...hope we don't need help. If there was a rating that was simply a dislike button I would insert that on this review. To top it all off we were left with an iron from a Roadway Inn that is marked in sharpie. There are many more photos that I will put up in a review under my partners name because Google doesn't allow me to show you all of the truths.

Lobby is nice, that’s about it. Halls are musty and poorly lit. Got to our room with all our luggage only to find house keeping still in the room at 5:15pm. Strong smell of smoke in room. Big stain on the carpet near the bin. Couldn’t put anything on floor as it looked visibly dirty. Bath room fan didn’t work, room would fill with steam easily during shower. Silicon all round bath/shower was all black and mouldy. Felt dirtier after a shower then before one. Pool was an absolute disgrace. Clumps of hair, dead insects/flys and just grime floating on surface. Couldn’t see the bottom of shallow end it was that dirty. Didn’t go in myself never mind if I had kids with me. Breakfast ladies couldn’t be nicer, however food was under limitation. Staff smoking right outside the ‘secure’ doors which did not have any locks on them. Anyone could walk through them right into hotel. Security vehicle sitting right outside the hotel didn’t move for our weeks stay. Didn’t even see any ‘security’ walking in hotel. Room cards kept failing, spent more time at reception constantly getting them reprogrammed. Had no house keeping done a few times during our stay, had to go ourselves and get towels and shower necessities. Housekeeping also failed to replace toilet roll when they did finally come into the room. Bedding was badly stained. While sitting in the lobby one night to use the substandard internet, me and my partner overheard the lady at front desk hang up the phone to a guest (heard the clunk of her handset) for them to immediately call back and be given the excuse ‘our lines are split to outside calls too it must have cut you off’ this happened twice in 30 mins. She was not on any other phone calls. Best thing was checking out and leaving.

I give this hotel zero stars!! I feel really horrible because Ive been staying in this hotel when I travel over the years and ive never experienced this.. we've had a few bumps but never like this. So I felt the need to write this and it seems over the years things have definitely changed! I booked into this hotel May 9.. 4-5 days later I noticed I was getting bit by something..I figured the weather had broken and maybe mosquitoes was out! Still getting bit by something with several scabs on my body I pulled back the sheets to check the mattress in which I do anytime I stay in a hotel as a precaution!! I didnt see anything so I kept it moving! On May 23 @ 130am my boyfriend complained that he was bitten up and swollen on his arms and forehead..in which he had red bumps in both places! As we were looking in the mirror at his sores...my daughter awoke scratching saying the same thing! My babies were in and out so one of the beds was rarely used! Earlier that day my boyfriend took a nap in that bed and thats when his bumps came! When I thought about it the bites didnt happen to me until I took a nap in that bed! I again pulled the covers back as I did before! As im looking I see this bug crawling around! I instantly take a picture! I then took pics of their sores and went down to the front desk! The older slim lady was there! Not necessarily friendly but professional (I thought) I approached the counter..said hello..I explained to her what the issue was..she was preoccupied and never even looked up at me!! I said thats rude!! Where's the empathy? I proceeded to show her the pics and also showed the the pic of what it looked to be...a bed bug! She stated well y'all check out is at 11 anyway!! And just stared at me! In which we was going to need the room another week. She then explained to me that I would have to talk to someone in the morning..and because I reported it that she could ask us to leave! I said why Queen would you do that when we've always been on a decent accord so I didnt understand why my family was being treated so poorly! She offered to give us another room! Stated that she would take care of some customers that had just walked in. I said Queen but you are already talking to me! Why not assign me another key so I can go on..I still would've had to move my stuff! She then says hold on a minute and called security behind my back!! To have my family escorted out at 2:30am by security was to say the least embarrassing..and definitely humiliating!! my baby got school at 7 in the morning.. Security went downstairs to the vending machine like he felt she was on probably another power trip! He was in the lobby when we got downstairs!! The lady wouldnt even look our way! Security said to come back at 930 am to pick our room deposit! Im going to let you know! I also took video of the room so nothing could be said negatively about my family! Id just like my deposit back so I can move on!! I would never in life stay at this...

Do not stay at this hotel!!!! If I could give it a zero stars I would. For starters it is located in a bad part of Memphis. They do have a security guard in the parking lot and a gated area to keep your vehicle for the night. The woman at check-in had no idea what she was doing! It took us 30+minutes to get checked in and several mistakes were made. Once we got checked in we went to our rooms. One of the elevators was not working and there was no air conditioning on the third floor or in the other elevator. The side doors wouldn't close and lock making it easy for an outsider to come right in. The rooms themselves (we had 3) we all in dire need of a full renovation. I found cheetos on the floor in the bathroom and red spots on the edge of the tub. The blow dryer plug-in in the room was completely separated making a huge fire risk. I also found an outlet that was pulled out from the wall. The best were hard as a brick and the pillows were flatter than a pancake. The continental breakfast was a joke. There was only a few small items. The only thing this place does have going for it is that is offers a shuttle to the airport and Graceland. To make matters worse they only put my parents down for a one night stay when it was suppose to be a 2 night stay. They were in their room napping and the door flew open. The staff member demanded that they leave because they had only paid for one night. My dad went down to the front office trying to resolve everything and they said they would have to take my brothers room over as that is the one they had him down for 2 nights. They were yelling at my dad and just being plain ugly. My parents packed up and left!!! We filed a complaint with Travelodge, but I doubt anything will come of it. Whatever you do.....don't...
