We booked two days at the twin Palms RV Park in order to be able to visit Taliesen West, explore the Sonoran Desert Suguaro and Palo Verde landscapes and acquaint ourselves with The Hohokam People who dug complex cooperative Canal Systems from the Salt River to the valley to cultivate Corn and Beans.
Desert Palms is a small, quiet, privately owned RV park in Mesa AZ. Steve, the friendly local owner answers the phone and reserving was easy. The park is directly across from Camping World if you need supplies or parts.
His “Top” Camp Host (also Steve) stood out among CH’s for his attentive care and ingenuity in solving any and all our problems, as I had confused our reservation and there were no regular spots to park us in for the 1st day. We were able to fill fresh water and plug in 30 amps in a created space by the office. Steve cheerfully checked in by text to see if we needed anything when we returned in the evening, and the morning we checked out. He also recommended Organ Pipe Pizza as an experience! With a salad bar and a wide range of pizzas and the most the largest, Wurlitzer Theater Organ in the United States I had thought it was going to be self playing… Instead, we heard two sessions by a Master organist live in the Huge 2 tiered Theatre Space with balcony designed expressly for the Organ. Kids, families, young adults and seniors ate pizza while listening to selections from musicals, ballads, show tunes, each orchestrated by different sets of pipes and percussion instruments.
Highly recommend this Mesa Park with its excellent...
Read moreA very nice 15 spot park behind Steve's Motorcycles. The shop actually provides a little pad from the busy Main Street. It is directly across from Camping World. There is a gate out the back with a couple steps to a wonderful walking bath along the Consolidated Canal. A neighbor fished in the canal and caught a 24 pound Carp! The outside spaces are quite wide, but the middle spaces are somewhat narrow. The larger spaces available with advance reservations and longer stays. All have concrete patio. Drive around is asphalt with pea gravel elsewhere. Bathrooms are super nice and clean, but one person at a time. Laundry is also clean and quite adequate.
We had a wonderful stay at Twin Palms RV Park for two months and will come back. Steve is a great owner who takes very good care of the park and all of us! Paul and Glenna are wonderful managers who care about the people and are there for our needs. Brian works in the shop and is very friendly and keeps the drive clear for the RV tenants to pass. The park is clean and only has some road noise from Main Street. Of course there is a motorcycle rev every once in a while, but who doesn't love that! The price was very reasonable and the facilities were beautiful. It is a small park, so we all became friends. We even had a...
Read moreTwin Palms RV Park is a great place to stay with very reasonable rates. A smaller park with extremely well kept grounds. The bathrooms and laundry room are beautiful, very tastefully decorated, with beautiful tile and cabinets, showers and immaculately clean. If you're in the mood for a little exercise, the gate in the park leads to a canal with paved sidewalks that are great for walking or biking. Shopping is nearby along with nice restaurants with great food. Or, for more exercise, there are several mountains to hike. Great exercise! If you're a baseball fan, Mesa, AZ is home to two spring training teams; the Chicago Cubs and the Oakland A's. Many other teams have spring training in surrounding cities, all of which are a reasonable driving distance from Twin Palms RV Park.
The park managers are wonderful people who will guide and help you with whatever you need. They are very knowledgeable when it comes to RV's and traveling. If you like to be social and have some fun, occasionally the park managers host a cookout for everyone to enjoy. Lots of fun!
The owner and the park managers are diligent about solving issues immediately should they arise. They are always available to make your stay with Twin Palms RV Park a...
