La Guadalupana Bakery — Restaurant in Mesa

Tried calling a few times and they hung on me every time I called. I don’t know how these people are still a popular place for cakes they have extremely horrible customer service and not to mention I never order cakes from this store after they completely ripped me off for a 2 tier cake that tasted absolutely disgusting the cake had no flavor was extremely dry and they claimed it would be tres leches so gross my parents threw it out and that was a lot of money thrown out too !! Also a warning they do not do any other flavor any good other than their so so tasting tres leches cakes I asked they can barely make a tres leches taste decent they make other flavors absolutely terrible ! I know Ranch market has some great tres leches also Fry’s Market place sells half and full sheets sized cakes that are way cheaper and much more delicious that’s the one place I can count on every time!! If you really want a tres leches maybe look into local bakery next to DQ on Mesa dr they are newly opened support...

Daughter of owner extremely rude. She acted like she didn't speak English, so I had my wife speak with her in Spanish. The lady could not figure out how to run our credit card. She called back threatening to cancel our order. I proceeded to get on the phone to talk with her and all of a sudden she could speak perfect English. I asked her if she could repeat the card back to me and she said no my card is declined and it's my fault not hers. So I went in there right away to talk with her(10min), but she left before I even got there. We confirmed with her dad she wrote a false security number down(she never even asked for this number). All this trouble and all she needed to do was be polite and confirm the credit card info. We have been ordering with these guys for years and never experienced the rudeness of the daughter. If she wants to make a career in the food service industry I suggest taking a class in hospitality. Good cakes...

Came to this place to buy a cake for my son's 12th birthday The gentleman that helped us WE BOTH COULD TELL THAT HIS ATTITUDE TOWARD US WAS NOT FRIENDLY. I personally think that it was because I'm a black guy and he has a problem with black people, but my son's mother is Mexican and they conversed about the cake in Spanish totally ignoring the fact that I was there and had input, he only took input from her in Spanish, she likes the place because they make the Mexican cakes the way she likes. But I'm paying my money. The reason I making this statement while we were looking at the books a white lady came in with her kids and he was just as friendly and helpful but when he got back to us he changed his attitude and was less pleasant and courteous, personally I'll advise black people and all of her spanish-speaking friends, and family not to do business, because of his attitude toward people...
