Mistreatment of women travelers||Cultural communication barriers.||I booked a room through Priceline. Upon entering hotel, the AC did not work had to move everything to another room. Initially booked room for two days the next day before checkout I notified the front desk I had a blowout and that I was working overnight currently temporarily until I start work. That I would be back to pay cash instead of using my card. He acknowledged this communication.||I was not notified of any policy of time to pay for room when I notified the front desk . They had my card on file through Priceline and my phone number was given upon check-in. When arriving to the hotel today I was notified that all my things had been moved out of the room.||I own a dealership out of state among other businesses. In one of the suitcases, zipped up are metal plates and sensitive finance and customer information.||The owner of hotel mentioned while on the phone with someone that he recorded all the plates that were in the bag which directly implies that not only did he dig my things. He did not know that I own the dealership. He has violated my privacy in my business and vulnerable personal information of myself and my customers.||I have customers metal plates in the bag. As some of my customers owe me money and have not picked up the plates. I personally mail these as needed while working on the road. I told him that it was from my dealership, he asked me why would I stay there if I own businesses. I am an independently owned self made woman business owner with no investors traveling for business as I work in the work in the oil field as well.||This transaction was not handled in a professional, nor ethical way. Not only put myself at risk of my own privacy, but my customers. My phone number and information was obtained during check-in. Nobody reached out to me calling instead, after speaking to the front desk assuming all is well, they did not contact me and removed my things. I feel that the treatment was because I am a woman of other ethnic origin. I am a single white woman traveling alone.||If the policy was to do so within a time frame I should have been notified I signed absolutely no paperwork. Also my card was on file they could have ran my card. Or called to communicate.||I feel that he got more for the room while I was gone and took my things out so they could get more for the other customer.||I was given the option to stay agian but I left. I do not want to do Buisness with anyone who causes unnecessary chaos. Especially while being away from home. Hotels should ensure peace of mind and communication at all times.||Obviously communication is important and this location does not comprehend what is being said during the cultural barriers. Has left a major error in business practices and has...
Read moreWhere do I start…I booked a 4 night stay for a job that I was doing outside of Midland. When I arrived I immediately was overwhelmed by the smell of marijuana in and around the building, there was all kinds of loitering going on around the front door. The first 2 nights were ok nothing special just a place to shower and sleep between shifts. The third day I come in from work and something seems off. First I put the do not disturb sign on my door as I left in the morning and it wasn’t there when I got back. Thinking ok odd but no biggie, I go into my room. I sit in the chair and relax for a few. I go to get a soda out of the ice box that I had put in and it was gone…I thought to myself ok maybe I was tired and forgot to put the soda in there. I do a Quick Look around the room to see if I in fact left it out nope it was gone. That’s when I noticed a hand towel on my bed and I knew without a shadow of a doubt that I didn’t put that there because I hadn’t used a hand towel up to that point I also saw drawers partially open. I go to pick up the towel and find that someone had wiped their rear end with it as there was poop and hair on it. I cleaned my hands and stood in disbelief for a moment. I then packed all of my stuff went to the desk and informed the desk attendant I was checking out and demanded a refund on my room for the reasons listed above. The desk attendant calls the manager who says to give me a refund. I was then told since I used my credit card to book I would have to call them for a refund. I then waited for the security man I’m assuming he was the only person who had access to the security cameras. I waited for 3 hours to get an answer on who went into my room. After that I was told again I needed to contact my credit card company. I replied that we’ve already established that I want to know who was in my room and how they got in there. I was told well we don’t know about that. So that leads me to believe it was a staff member or they know the person responsible for it and are covering for them or they just have dummy cameras and nothing really recorded. All while I was sit in the lobby there was a family reunion going on behind the main counter where obnoxiously loud and they were harassing another guest trying to check in about their voice and had a dog with them that was constantly barking. I will never step foot on this property again and I would recommend no one else...
Read moreThis place is a sh!thole..... was on the road for an extended period of time, and my back was killing me..... my wife only got this room for me because of the jacuzzi tub in the room..... you'd think a room with a jacuzzi tub would have more than 2 towels.... and that those towels would be clean.... not here. For starters, I walk into my room, and the jacuzzi tub is already full of water.... cold, nasty water from the previous tenant who (like housekeeping, apparently) couldn't be bothered to drain their bathwater..... so before I get to use it to soothe my aching back, I have to plunge my hand into gods-only-know-what.... gross.... the 2 towels in the room may have been clean, but they were so stained and threadbare (to the point of holiness), that it was impossible to tell.... a sudden downpour, and the ceiling started to leak, so there went my towels..... when I went downstairs to report that I was out of towels, I stood there for probably 10 minutes while the child behind the front desk played on her phone not even bothering to acknowledge my presence until (I suppose) she was done with whatever extremely important, life or death or loss of limb emergency she must have been texting about or posting on social media...... I DID however receive a stack of nice, clean towels for my efforts, though I feel like I should not have had to venture beyond the door of my room to acquire these, as they should have been already here before I was..... that said, I'm sure there are jacuzzi rooms elsewhere in this city that would be much better, cleaner, NICER..... also, not the best part of town.... I've been watching a man staring a little too intently at my truck down in the parking lot, so I'm really hoping it's just my imagination and that I don't go downstairs tomorrow morning to find that I've been burgled.........
And please, "RediRewards person", don't bother to respond to my review if all you're going to do is tell me how sorry you are and make excuses and blah, blah, blah like you've done for every other honest review about this dump..... words are wind, and you obviously haven't made any real attempt to make the necessary changes to the management/staff to bring about any actual honest change.... lip service without an ounce of truth is all I've read from your responses..... refund my $90 and we'll talk,...
