Cielito Lindo restaurante — Restaurant in Midland

Great food. Very authentic. Friendly staff. If they would invest in better tables and chairs as well as something to eliminate house flies they would easily earn that 5th star.

2 yr update: My last experience here really bummed me out and I don’t think I’ll return for a while.

Went with a small group of 4 and 2 of the 4 dishes that were brought to us had obviously rancid (the sour smell as overwhelming)beans as the side. I believe the only reason the other 2 didn’t was because we sent the food back before the other plates came out. The waitress didn’t seem to concerned or apologetic about the situation. They simply scrapped off the bad beans and put “fresh” beans right on top. The other parts of the dish that were touching the spoiled beans did not get replaced. The service was slow despite the fact that there only 2 other customers there. Also the building was never in great condition to begin with, but now there are several holes in the roof, there were several buckets throughout the restaurant catching water from the leaks. It is obvious that very little has been invested in the building. I really wouldn’t be surprised if the ceiling just caved in after this recent ice...

Cielito Lindo is a great little gem! You always hear little hole in the wall restaurants are the best, and that is a correct statement for this place. My family and I went to celebrate a birthday and the food was absolutely wonderful! I ordered a large bowl of menudo. It was very clean and delicious! My husband and son had brisket and carnitas street tacos and said it was the best tacos they had! They were full of meat and came in four. The service was great for us being a big party, and there was only one other person in the restaurant. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. It is a small restaurant, but it has some amazing food. This place may look like a hole in the wall restaurant, I walked in not expecting much, but boy was I wrong! The chips and salsa is made from scratch, the kid's ordered grilled cheese it was amazing and made from scratch fries, my wife ordered the four soft tacos, best she ever had, while ordered the steak fajitas, the only thing more incredible than the fajitas was the fantastic fried beans and rice, off the wall amazing, and they have Maniulo (butchered spelling) my wife ordered it after she had her taco and she's tearing up over the best she's ever had, well be back...
