Suburban Studios Milwaukee Airport — Hotel in Milwaukee

Yikes. Soooo bad. First, I made a room reservation on their website, not a third party website. And the photos of what the room were advertised to be, is not what the room was. I went back to the desk to ask if I could get a room that looked like the photos and the clerk was just a shade above rude. Clearly lying and his story kept changing. First he told me that he can't do anything because I booked on a third party site; which I didn't. I showed him their site and asked if it was their site, he said yes. But... He said somebody must have put the wrong picture up for that room (King Suite). Then his story changed a bit and he said, well those rooms like that don't have heat. But then he went back to "they put the wrong photos up."

I was in my room and somebody knocked once, I got up from my bed and they were just coming in the room. I said "hey, what are you doing" they quickly shut the door and started walking away. I don't know who unlocked it, but I could see 2 scrubby looking black dudes slowly walking away. They screwed metal plates over the doors so you can't open most of them. If there were a fire at one end of the building. Everybody at the other end would die. A guy started talking to me out his window while I was loading my car and told me the owner doesn't care that the city told her she can't put those on. She just puts them back on after the city leaves because homeless people come in and sleep in the hallway.

4 somebody knocked on my window at night, I opened the curtain and they said. "Oh, wrong window".

The room had no trash cans, no do not disturb signs, no Kleenex. The sink in the bathroom didn't drain. That was gross

My fiancé and I, initially booked a two night stay at Suburban Studios over the weekend during our transition into a new apartment. I was a little nervous seeing some of the negative reviews. However, I am very confused as to what those negative reviews are referring to.

The lobby, hallways and our room were very clean. The room is quite newly remodeled. It’s very minimal but extremely comfortable, quiet and spacious. We ended up extending our stay an additional night and stayed in the same room, the process was simple, quick and easy- unlike previous hotel/motels we have encountered in the past. I will say, we highly recommend staying here especially for the price point. Also, the location makes planning for your day/trip a breeze. You’re located right off/on the freeway, there’s everything you need for miles on just 27th street alone (fast food, grocery stores, pharmacy, hospital, etc.) There are also five slot machines off to the side of the lobby, which was pretty cool. We spent about an hour on the slots one night for fun.

The only slight issue and I wouldn’t even call it an issue really, is that the WiFi connection was a little weak/spotty…

Never again. Was hoping the negative reviews I saw was just people being Nitpicky. But unfortunately you need to listen to them all. My family and I booked 3 rooms for the weekend. On arrival I was notified of a $100 extra to pay that would be refunded at check out for incidental. My room had a wrap around counter and Refrigerator that had greasy orange fingerprints all over them. There was two of us staying in the room where we were only given two towels, one hand towels, one floor mat and one washcloth. The floors did not seem to be swept. The window lock was broken and filthy. The noise level was so bad from parties in the parking lot to arguing and door slamming in our hallways. I ended up leaving super early this morning just to get out of there. There was a man sleeping in his car in the parking lot, which made me wonder about the security of our vehicles there. Also the hotel smells clean when you first walk in but once you leave that lobby that goes away and not...
