So our room was perfectly fine. Standard hotel room. On day two our battery in our smoke detector went out so it started beeping. Staff was super fast in responding. They serviced the room during the day even though we were only there two nights which is almost unheard of now days. Staff was always friendly even when we were a bit early for breakfast (which started extra early which is GREAT when you are trying to visit busy national parks). There were afternoon cookies in the lobby as well.||The pool was nice when several free cabanas around. The hot tub was enclosed but had a retractable door which meant you could enjoy the nice weather but it's still usable if the weather is bad. The hotel had a small play area for kids.||Breakfast was probably some of the best of our trip. And it had a varying menu. Day 1 was sausage, hashbrowns and scrambled eggs. Day 2 was bacon, potatoes and folded eggs for make your own omelets with a few omelet toppings like fresh spinach, salsa, cheese. Nothing super fancy but any change of pace on hotel breakfasts is always welcome.||Very conveniently located about 15 minutes into Arches and about 5 minutes from the main part of Moab.||The only negative is the hotel is laid out a bit odd which was the only draw back. It's in two wings that are not connected except through the lobby (which is only annoying if you have a party split into two rooms which we did :) ). And then it's like half floors. So lobby is on floor two but if you were using the stairs to get to floor three you'd first have to go down to floor one and then up to floor 3. Not like a huge deal but not convenient when hauling luggage or getting ice. Had I known before we could have requested our rooms be in the same hall. But again didn't overall...

We rolled into Moab at midnight after our original campsite further North was impacted by wildfires. Check-in was very easy with a 24 hour desk.
The rooms were simple but very functional, clean, and comfortable. I'm admittedly pretty picky about hotels/motels, but this one really delivered. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were some of the best I've had at a hotel. Seems silly to mention, but it really helped after a long day of travel from Oregon!
We didn't get to breakfast until almost 10am (when it closes) but it was fully stocked with all the fixings. All the plates and utensils were compostable, too. We were surprised to see how much food was left because generally, there isn't much left at the end of the breakfast window, but we soon realized it was because after 10am all of the staff were welcomed into the dining area to sit and eat together. This really warmed our hearts and made us feel good about supporting a business that supports their employees.
We requested a late checkout due to our late entry and we're immediately offered a noon checkout time, free of charge.
The art in the hotel's main areas are from local artists, and there was even a local jeweler there with a table of beautiful necklaces and earrings laid out. The geological pieces on display in the lobby were very cool and we especially liked the 50 million year old tree we were invited to hug. Our six year old thought it was the neatest thing ever.
We can't say enough about how easy, clean, and comfortable our experience was. I wish we could stay longer to enjoy the pool!
Thank you for rescuing us late last night! We are so grateful to have found such a nice little joint and will definitely return when we come...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCustomer service is pretty much the biggest issue for me... Consequently I'm very glad to report that the STAFF here were friendly and helpful. Check-in was a breeze, not too busy as of this mid-July date.
had a very large room, three queen beds. air conditioner works great. The kind that will actually turn off and on as needed with thermostat on the wall. Ceiling fan also. beds were comfortable, bathroom clean, nothing to make you feel skittish. pool* (jacuzzi's pretty big too) was excellent, little cabana things looking like teepees.
*Getting out of the pool was a little bit of a challenge for a older person or someone out of shape. Smallish stairs and the only other way was the old school foot slots with these rails that made you feel like you were doing pull-ups š š
breakfast was awesome; omelettes with side bowls of ingredients, salsa was really good, three kinds of bread and waffle-like toast, biscuits and gravy, bacon and eggs, automated pancake maker... Big roomy clean cafeteria. Moab is a small town so nothing is far away. This site is on the edge of town. 5 minutes to downtown shops etc. The scenery around this area just is totally amazing. All the pictures show it. It just goes on and on and on. Definitely recommend this hotel without a doubt. I mean went to a place not too far from here, same price, was very tiny little rooms, musty smell from the air conditioner. Was just a drag. The only reason I'm not giving out their name is because they were kind enough to give...
