We were so pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The room was nice and pretty spacious, a little larger than an average hotel room. It’s very new, and very tidy. The kitchen was nice, especially with the full-size refrigerator. Just be aware that the kitchen not stocked, but you can get disposable plates, bowls, and silverware at the front desk. I don’t know about getting pots and pans, spatulas, etc from the front desk, you can call ahead and ask.
Don at the front desk was an absolute gem at check-in.
Our room was on the west side of the hotel, it was such a lovely surprise to have a really stunning view. Honestly, I can’t see that any other hotel in town would have such an amazing view as from this hotel. The hotel sits above the main road, on the east side. There’s a nice little hiking trail from the hotel that we were surprised to find.
There’s no morning breakfast area, but you can purchase breakfast to eat in your room for $7.50/person. We did that, and it was very nice to enjoy from our room with the gorgeous morning view. Definitely worth it if you don’t want to pack breakfast or go out for breakfast.
The only thing that I didn’t like at this hotel is the chemical smell from the cleaning products. It’s so common at hotels, it gives me a headache and makes me feel crummy. We travel with a 2-room air purifier because of how it affects me & my kids, and that was able to neutralize the offgassing from the cleaning products.
I really wish hotels would start using clean, green cleaning products that don’t give off volatile organic compounds, which are bad for everyone’s health. There are non-harmful products available these days that are not expensive. We don’t need the volatile organic compound odors to know that a hotel is clean, we can easily see the...
Read moreSo yeah, one of the best hotel/motel stays we've ever had for the money. This was in December 2021 and we booked a week before our actual visit to Moab. They were the cheapest per night for rating 6 stars and above.
The building is new from what I can tell. It is at the far north end of the town at time of writing. That makes it closest to Arches and Canyonlands (islands in the sky district) and I-70.
Check in/out was easy. We like that they provide airport style luggage carts instead of the the usual trolleys.
The room we were in had 2 queen beds. The room layout is simple but sensible with the things in the room. There was a "kitchen" with electric stoves, toaster, microwave oven, kitchen sink with cruncher and a big fridge with ice maker. No kitchenware in the room though. Maybe you have to ask the front desk for them but we didn't.
Plenty of storage spaces like drawers and cabinets. There was a movable office desk that can double as a dinner table. Smart idea. Wall plugs have integrated USB socket. Spaces between beds and furniture are good that you don't feel cramped in. Furniture is modern. Bathroom is big too.
Coffee maker is single cup style. Wifi speed was OK'ish, good enough for me to do remote work via VPN. The TV was huge but I didn't have time to watch anything, so no comment about channel availability.
We didn't spend much time in the room other than to shower, sleep and some times for late dinner. We didn't use the gym or pool (not sure they have any).
Overall, we were happy with our stay....
Read moreCalled ahead to confirm pets and pool were options for us. Upon arrival, pool was empty- manager told us it wasn’t ready to be open yet? After I had confirmed 2 hours prior that it was open. Check in- was ok! The staff member was on his phone and I had to go find him, but it was smooth. Paid extra for pets - was disappointed about pool not being ready. Decided to go dinner and returned with only one dog in our room- heart sank and confusion immediately! Front desk was not helpful and could only tell us that animal control had our small dog after he got out of our room, but they (the staff) never went in per their reports. Our other dog was seen outside of our room also after speaking with management, but was in our room when we returned (still confused). They were asked to release video footage so we could nail down what and how the dog got out of our room- they immediately said that they would email me a response from someone higher up. Also- the check In staff never told me that the dogs couldn’t be left alone in our room (which they mentioned to me after our dog was missing). It was obvious they were training someone that day and things may have been missed. I am disappointed with how my dog was treated and that animal control was involved. The staff never contacted us to make us aware of any issues until we returned and we had to go to them to ask questions on where our pet was - my information was readily available to numerous staff working that night. The hotel itself is new and...
