TLDR: Would not suggest this place anymore.

We got what we usually get but this time the padthai came out with VERY little meat (we had ordered shrimp), regardless the flavors are still good! For the Thom Khem they used a different cut of pork this time, it was drier and a lot leaner than pork belly, I would not reccomend this dish anymore.

The pictures for drinks are not very accurate, we ordered the naam keiw drink which looked like a milky green slush in the picture but when we got it, it was an aggressive hulk green. The drink was super sweet and a little melted so we asked if we could change in the drink but they declined so my bf bought another one (thai tea) ... sorry to say but that one was also not so good and the boba tasted old in both drinks. Food is good here but the drinks have been a big miss so far.

I'm a little disappointed because I always suggest this place to friends and family, I feel like the food has changed overall and would not suggest them anymore. Sad to say It's been like this the past few times we have gone here.

To end on a good note, I really liked that they added a complimentary hot water! That was nice :) and they have these stools in the corner which are super cute. Thank you for the meals.

Previous notes: My new favorite place to go and eat. Everything was so delicious it had me emotional 🥹🌸 Food in photos: Thom Khem and Pad Thai (Beef)

Update: still one of my favorite places to eat! Added more photos. Two dishes in the photos are the same as my review, the new dish is the...

Best tasting food in the area (perhaps the state). Admittedly I'm not an expert on Lao cuisine (much more experience with Thai and Vietnamese) but literally everything we've ever ordered here has been good to great (noodles, crispy rice, curry...). This place actually ranks in my personal top five of all time for SE Asian cuisine with the others being in Thailand, Austin (DeeDee's), NYC and London. I've also eaten here more than 20 times already (at least) over the past year or so and I've never walked away thinking "well, this wasn't their best day". That's freaking amazing consistency (coming from someone who has worked in restaurants before). It's probably because it's a family run place and the food is cooked by the actual owners (yes, they are Lao) who clearly take pride in their food. Anyway, more good news is that the price is quite reasonable as well and the portions are solid. The spice levels are real you should know what you're doing if you order the top level. The "staff" (family) are friendly and hardworking. The only things you should be prepared for: Very limited seating that can only accommodate two (unless you eat at the picnic tables outside), you'll need to clean your own table (esp if the previous diner was messy and inconsiderate), the decor feels authentic but not remotely fancy, and if you go during meal/busy times, you may have to wait 20-30 min for your food. However, if your priority is on top notch SE Asian food at good value, you can't go wrong or...

If you're like me and love authentic Thai food with some real heat, you have to stop here. Yin Dee is small and easy to miss, but you will regret not giving it a try. It's hard to find many good Thai/Lao restaurants in the area, but this one is immediately one of my favorites. It's a very friendly place with great employees.

For my first visit, I got the Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles), my go-to dish for trying a new Thai restaurant. Having some inside knowledge of the place already, I opted for 4 of 5 heat and it delivered! The food was delicious and the portions were generous as I happily sat sweating my way through my meal. I'll go back for the 5 of 5 some day when I'm in the mood to really feel the burn! I also had a chance to try a few other bits including the Papaya Salad as well as the Lao Beef Jerky and Sausage, all of which were wonderful as well.

Like I said, the place is small and may get a bit busy depending on when you visit. Seating surrounds the cooking area so you can watch them prepare your food, though there are a few extra seats along the wall if they are full. Overall I was very pleased with my first visit and look forward to going again to try the rest...

I recently dined at this wonderful family-owned Lao restaurant, and I couldn't have been more pleased with the experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The menu featured a delightful array of authentic Lao dishes, each bursting with vibrant flavors and carefully crafted with love and passion. I personally enjoyed the S5. Sour Chicken Soup as it reminded me of my mom’s cooking. The owners and their staff went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was exceptional, providing attentive service and helpful recommendations. It was evident that the ingredients were fresh and the recipes were passed down through generations, as every bite was a true taste of Lao cuisine. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable, making it a fantastic value for a memorable family meal. There is also plenty of outside seating to the left of the building complex. I highly recommend this Lao restaurant to anyone looking to indulge in delicious food, rich culture, and the warmth of a family-run establishment.
