When checking in, Pravin quoted the room at $79.99/night. However, HE proposed a $69.99/night rate if we paid for three nights up front, so we did. I paid in cash and walked away feeling like the total was greater than the $69.99 rate, but I chalked it up to the outlandish fees that are wrapped into any hotel stay. After three nights, a 4th night was added. This time, Pravin's wife agreed to the $69.99 rate. Again, I paid cash. When I inquired about a 5th night, I asked Pravin for a receipt of payment up until that point, & he agreed to the $69.99 rate ONLY if we would pay for 2 more nights. Once I started to look at the receipt, that is when I noticed that I was not being charged the agreed upon rate. I kindly brought this up to Pravin, & he immediately became defensive. I was unable to speak a full sentence without him interrupting me, telling me it was "human error", & accusing me of not understanding him. This could not have been further from the truth. Having managed a hotel in the past, I am well aware of issues that can arise. I was simply trying to ask if it would be possible to take the total that he had overcharged me and apply it to a 5th night. His voice continued to get louder to the point that his wife came to the desk, too. The moment she tried to say a word, he shut her down, and she walked away. In total, there were two separate "human errors" made throughout the duration of my friend's stay. Pravin was set on repeating himself (louder each time) and making sure he interrupted me every chance he could. When it was apparent that I had been overcharged PER THE RATE HE GAVE ME, he began showing me the bills for other individuals who were staying at the hotel in an attempt to show me what he COULD be making on the room my friend occupied. I told him I was not interested in what other guests were paying; I was only interested in making sure I was being charged what he had proposed. Eventually, Pravin said he would give me SOME money back, but he needed his room back so he could sell it for $150! Those rooms are not worth $150! By that point, I was no longer interested in trying to reason with Pravin. Interestingly, in order to get my money back, he needed to call tech support because of the "human errors" they made in the system. At one point, Pravin took a phone call and told whomever was on the other end of the line that their nightly rate was $79.99/night! There went his opportunity to sell my room for $150! ** I later found out that Pravin charged my credit card $60, which I am now disputing with my credit card company. There is nothing honest, kind, righteous, or respectful about this man or the business that he is running.
I think there is something shady going on, & I would encourage all guests to monitor what they are charged. This is a family run business & they are likely using these "human errors" to somehow inflate their revenue. WATCH OUT!!!
Customer Service = Initially, it was fine. There was rarely anyone at the front desk. The moment I wanted to address my concern that I had been overcharged, the owner became condescending, loud, irrational, unwilling to listen, rude, and dismissive.
Building/Rooms = Building is old and out-dated; disgusting, worn out carpet. Hallways, lobby area, entry were humid and hot. Hallways throughout smell like weed. Room REEKS of cigarette smoke. Brought in air freshener and odor neutralizer to help. Turned on room fan/AC, but even that seemed to pump in stale air/smell. Overall, the hotel does not offer much. No pool, no hot tub, skimpy breakfast.
Breakfast = Nothing of substance! No protein! Two coffee carafes (one was empty), two juice choices; a couple bread options for toast as well as white bagels, mini brownies and mini cinnamon rolls. Cream cheese and jelly options but no peanut butter. There were 8 yogurts spaced throughout the fridge, and one gallon of milk from Aldi that guests were supposed to pour themselves. There was a pancake maker and two...
Read moreWe stayed at this hotel for the September long weekend and we were insanely unimpressed. The hotel room smelled like the carpet hadn’t been washed and smelt like dog pee, the room wasn’t clean, the bed looked as if there was mold growing on the mattress which was covered by the white fitted sheet. They claim to clean the rooms themselves but they’re was garbage found from we assume whoever stayed there before and things went missing from our bags so that’s super nice.. I know it’s a 2 star hotel but that’s insane! Not to mention blocking my number after calling inquiring about the...
Read moreRooms were decent. There is a McDonald's and gas station right by the hotel. The breakfast was a little disappointing though. A few small donuts from a bag, a few gas station brownies, 2 kinds of cereal, a few bread choices, coffee, packets of oatmeal, and literally a few tiny things of yogurt. The juice machine didn't work either. Also the side door to the hotel that is supposed to be locked was broken or something and didn't lock at all. Also our keys stopped working multiple times. Good place to crash for a few hours though and the...
