Heritage Budget Inn — Hotel in Muleshoe

It was so late and we were so tired from driving that we had to stop somewhere. The people in the front office wanted cash only and then only gave us a written receipt even after I explained that I needed a legitimate receipt to turn into my company for a reimbursement. They said thay was all they could give me. Before we left the office they said just to leave the key in the room when we left. When I walked into the room I was shocked at how disgusting it was. The AC unit was held together with duct tape. There was no cable like they said there was. I could only get a few clear channels. The carpet was severely stained as well as the walls and the room had not been cleaned properly. The bathroom was the worst. I tried to go back to the front office to get my money back and the door was locked and they wouldn't answer the door bell. We finally gave up and just stayed. We left at 5am the next morning. I would never recommend...

Extremely cheap and dingy and rundown. Everything was clean, but you could tell they were well-worn sheets and towels. The lady at the desk was super friendly and helpful, it's just a very old hotel, and obviously not meant to cater to many needs. I stay there simply because it was the cheapest place I could find and I'm on a budget. It was usable for the night, but I wouldn't choose to go there unless it was absolutely necessary. But it was a bed to sleep in and a shower with hot water and the TV oh, so...

Slow wifi and old tv's that dont work with the cable box very well. Clean bedding and bathrooms and $50 a night. If you just passing though and dont want to spend much. Not bad...
