We booked this property expecting a 4-star hotel, but it’s really closer to a 3-star experience. A week before our trip, we were told the hotel had changed its name to Placemakr Wedgewood-Houston – South Nashville. When we arrived late at night, we discovered it had already been renamed again to The Harthall Hotel, which made check-in confusing since there were no clear instructions on how to enter.
The room had an industrial vibe with concrete floors, which didn’t feel very cozy. The bed was closer to a cot than a proper bed, though the shower itself was decent. During our stay, we hardly saw another guest, which added to the odd atmosphere.

AND it idled for over an hour. We had no idea the track was there. We were unable to sleep the rest of the night. We were traveling the next day and were miserable due to the lack of sleep. I spoke with a manager and she said there was nothing they could do. A different room, not feet from the tracks, should have been an option. The parking lot was practically empty and it was a Tuesday night. Who thought a hotel room with a window just feet from the railroad tracks, was...
