I walked in here last weekend with a couple of friends, and the artist of these beautiful pieces happened to be there giving a tour of her work. Keavy Murphree's art is so vulnerable and authentic, hearing her inspirations behind each piece was such a great experience; Julia Martin, the gallery owner, was so kind and welcoming as well.
Unfortunately, after the showing, we saw some Instagram pictures on the gallery's page -- we were featured on there, which would have been cool, but one of my friends has diabetes and wears a continuous glucose monitor on her arm which was (badly) FaceTuned out of one of the photos. It is not okay to edit someone else's body without their permission. Seeing this on the gallery's page detracted from what was an otherwise lovely experience, and I believe that the gallery photoshopping my friend's body is the antithesis to the vulnerability and authenticity of the work of the artist.
