I had planned a 4 day getaway with my pregnant wife in San Diego. I found this affordable hotel online through my Wyndham account. I read some of the reviews. They were good or really bad. I'm pretty easy to please so I decided to go with them. After booking the hotel 2 weeks in advance, we were finally ready for our short getaway. When we landed in San Diego I received an email from Super8 informing my credit card was declined and I had 48 hours to reactivate my reservation by calling the number provided. I was confused as to why they were running my credit card the day of my arrival but before I physically showed up. I had lost my wallet last weekend and had no order new credit cards. But this shouldn't of been an issue since I was checking in today and would provide the new card for deposit and room cost. I immediately called the number provided and asked the employee to reactivate my reservation per the emails instructions. He responded he couldn't reactivate it and I had to rebook for $60 above my initial reservation. I informed him 5he email sent to me said I had 48 hours to reactivate it or I would have to rebook. It had only been a few hours since I received the email. Without compassion or a since of good customer service he repeated verbatim what he had said before. I asked him why would I receive and email saying I had 48 hours if it wasn't true. He said he didnt know and the last the emails were automatically generated. I told him that is not good business and I would be contacting corporate. Of course he said ok and hung up on me. At no point did I raise my voice or disrespect this employee and did not deserve that type of bad customer service. I then called Wyndham and reported the incident . They looked up my reservation and didn't know why it would be cancelled. It was not prepaid. I also sent them a copy of the email I received from super 8.
I am a big supporter of business but with business there should be a standard of good customer service. I would not book at this hotel . Maybe they will work on their customer service if people...

The owners whom by the way lives there run this Motel like 1-star hotel in New Delhi. They check you in at an outside window like a prison. We had the power going in and out in the middle of night for multiple times and fire-alarm sensor going crazy. The AC didn’t work, we went down stairs and knocked the window for assistance, No one answered 😂
We went back to the room via stairs and couldn’t get back in because the key sensor wouldn’t work without power. We had to wait for the power to return, AC never came back. Room it self, you can hear everything from the floor above. The bed covers & under covers all had holes, shower curtain smelled horrible. No manager and the owners do as they please. We stayed one; horrible night and run out the next. The best part was when we mentioned to the owners/managers the issue, they told us it’s normal for the area and power goes out every night, WHAT? Why was that not advertised!!!!
Save yourself and don’t spend a night here. You will regret it. Don’t let the upgraded floors fool you, and that’s all the upgrades. The shinny floors fooled us. Elevator moves like a 80s shafts. Will never stay any...
