Ok, soooooo I prefer the bbq beef plate here at this location. HOWEVER the customer “service” leaves A LOT to be desired. So my plan was to call ahead to place an order for my lunch. Welp they have to actually answer the phone to make that happen. 4 YES 4 calls later at 11:10am someone rudely answered the phone then placed me on hold. She comes back a few min later. I felt like I was in a SNL sketch. It was so annoying it was comical! So I’m placing my order for bbq beef plate. Goes a little something like this : Me: Can I order a REGULAR bbq beef plate for pick up? Her: What size Me: REEEEEGULAR Her: IS THAT IT? Me: can I have the meat chopped please ? Her: IS THAT IT? Me: All Mac on the side please Her: IS THAT IT ? Me: Oh and no Cabbage please Her: IS THAT IT ? Me: Yea, thank you Her: 15-20 min ( hang up) Uuuuuuummmm ok ……. So theeeeen I go into the store. After 4 calls and a 3 min hold and a 5 min drive. NOT ONE PERSON was in the store NOT ONE. I thought the line would be out the door . She says “ ya, they all just left” with a spider lash eye roll ( the comedy of the response )
So I pay and get my lunch. Look in the bag NOT A FORK IN SIGHT. No Sauces at all ! I got back and ask for a fork, napkins, and two teriyaki sauces. She looked at me like I asked her to empty the cash register! Then she repeats “two sauces” uuuuuh yes please “two sauces”.

Read moreI have been a National City resident for over 30 years and L&L has been one of my go-to spots when it comes to their food. Every time I would come here, it was always a pleasure and I've never had a problem until this week. I am one who is real big on customer service and take it very seriously and that's one of the reasons that would keep me coming back to a business to receive my business. But, the girl working the front register area was very rude and looked like she did not want to be there by the way her body language was speaking. Not sure if she was a new employee or what but if you are going to have an attitude like that working with the public then this isn't the type of job you should be in. No customer service nor friendly at all. People working in the front are the face of the business and that puts a bad image for all who works there. She also had the audacity to talk under her breath to another employee right in front of me, the customer! Thinking I wouldn't hear anything, but I did. You'd think she would wait until I was out the door and then said something. But, clearly she doesn't care or she would've held her tongue. You won't always get those easy going good customers, you will get some that will be difficult, etc. That's how working with the public and customer service is. Read moreI am re-editing my review from several months ago. I came back to this location for lunch. Upon walking in, I was hit in the face with the smell of feces (droppings) from some rodant animal.. it isn't noticeable if you're unfortunately used to that smell, but for us that are clean and know the difference, I can no longer recommend this place. It should be shut down IMMEDIATELY and should go through an inspection with health department.
DO NOT EAT HERE.. BUGS, RATS, ROACHES... The employees do not care. Oh and they also are charging a 4% surcharge for cards (even if it's debit) and the girl who took my order said "ITS FOR THE EMPLOYEES TIPS!" Isn't that what their tip jar is for? Seemed crooked.
The food is just ok. Don't see the value in waiting over 20 minutes inside a rancid smelling establishment.
It was so bad I went next door to order something. [That experience was Very pleasant and got some Boba]
Now after walking back into L&L from a NORMAL establishment, I could smell the presence of pests droppings indefinitely & should of asked for a refund right there. I didn't want to, assuming they would of been zero help in achieving that.
Now that added into the equation, I will never eat from THIS SPECIFIC L & L BBQ.
