Some people forget where they came from once the spotlight &’ flashy cameras are on them. I’ve been going to Cornerstone since they had the tent up, &’ during that time, it was one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever had. Pastor Sergio &’ Georgina were more humbled during that period &’ people that were attending also saw the bigger vision pastor had for the church in regards to the renovation of a new one. I knew the church would change, but I never expected the Pastor to. Time goes on, &’ the church is finally built. Waterfall in the middle, upstairs for the kids/toddlers, behind the waterfall is where the service is held, &’ it even has damn elevators for crying out loud. This church was beautiful! But that’s where everything began to change. I’ve met a lot of mentors during my time at cornerstone (Sadly they are no longer there because they weren’t being compensated as if they didn’t have mouths to feed) I’ve dedicated a lot to it’s youth center on Gst which included painting their Logo on the second story room. Going to Cornerstone felt more as if I was going to the club with the ladies wearing really short skirts, cleavage everywhere, the guys flirting trying to spit game &’ I’m thinking to myself where am I? Pastor rolling up in a Black Range Rover with Security Personnel as if he was a celebrity, wearing $2,000 branded polo shirts, &’ now all you see on stage is his family. Everything is about his family, &’ we all want to know what his family has planned, &’ his family runs this part &’ his family that blah blah blah. &’ it’s true. He spends 15-20 minutes singing &’ reading sciptures from the Bible promoting tithing before anything gets started, but what for? To pay mortgage on his mansion, buy a few extra cars &’ to support his lavish lifestyle? You’d be lucky if Pastor sticks around to talk to the people who contributed to make Cornerstone Church the way it stands now. I agree, we are all entitled to have a beautiful life, but chose a different method of making a living, because clearly he’s become infatuated with the money. Bonita Valley is an even bigger Church &’ the Pastor genuinely cares for his fellow Christians &’ he actually sticks around for awhile to talk to us. I recommend going there, you’ll feel more welcomed &’ accepted I guarantee you. Goodbye Cornerstone, &’...
Read moreThis place doesn't reciprocate anything, you give your tights, time, faith but what did they really give you? Did they help you change spiritually or they're offering you some type of change that has nothing to do with religion? I hope the followers can open their eyes and see the truth. Look at followers and the leaders, there's a huge gap in any aspects between followers and leaders. The very expensive extra services that you pay for, is it really worth it? Why do you even have to pay for it? Why is it so expensive? Think about it. That's like daylight robbing.
When they talk about giving tights and asking for more tights after you give your tights already, does that sound right to you?
Ask this question to yourself, are you really benefiting from attending this church or they're benefiting from you?
I might be wrong, but I'm just voicing out my experience from this church. The church Leaders that I know are very minimalist and they'd give any of their extra to the people in need, that's probably why my experience here...
Read moreHorrible. This place take 20 minutes explaining how tithing will excuse you of your sins... furthermore; they tell you to pay your tithe through an app if you can't make it, and that God will forgive you because you thought about him? As if God cares about man made money. The pastor is never there, and when is he's driving a Range Rover with his wife wearing her $5,000 heals, while having on $10,000 watches, two security guards and whatever else they feel is necessary. Watching them walk up is like watching TMZ follow two celebrities around. Don't get me wrong, I get that they are successful but they're also materialistic and genuinely what seems to be "solely" money motivated. Go in, listen to music, get offered to pay tithe for 20 minutes, hear 10 minutes of the word, and then it's time to go. This is a business, not a genuine...
