it was the worst hostel experience in my life. Hostel means inexpensive but only because you share a room with strangers, because you don't have your own bathroom but common toilets and showers. It means the absence of certain services such as bar, laundry or other. Hostel does not mean dirt to the limit of health safety. This is one of the dirtiest hostels I've ever seen (see photos). The bathrooms and corridors were washed once a day between 09:30 and 10:30 by a non-professional staff. This hostel is run by friends who spend time with each other but don't really clean up. You shower either in the morning or in the evening you do it anyway in a very dirty bathroom full of hair and dander. Parts of the floor that haven't been washed in months. The refrigerator in the common room is dirty, on the bottom shelf I have seen dirty water with food scraps for all days of my presence. There were packages of food left there by customers who had already left, and which were in an obviously state of decomposition. The microwave oven, very dirty, was never washed for the whole time of my stay. I asked why there was no water in the brewer machine and was told "you put it in". To do this, I had to go to a room where the door said, "staff only". In this hostel I have not found a single hospitality professional, no activity, no decor, nothing. Only guys who barely listen to you if you need anything. I wonder why the health authority has not yet intervened with an inspection. I'm sure it would close immediately.

DO NOT MAKE A RESERVATION IN THIS PLACE!!!! This is my third day here. When we arrived, the employee who was cleaning the room made ours in less than 10 minutes. He just changed the blankets and took out the trash (well, some of it). Our first impression was that the room was filthy, and the blankets seemed to be dirty (or not well cleaned), and it is just the top of the iceberg. I woke up in the middle on the night because my legs were itching, and I got some BITES from one of the many insects that live with us here. I went to the bathroom, which has been obstructed for the lasts three days (I've been asking the workers to put a solution since I realized), to find that not only it was still clogged, but THIS (VIEWER DISCRECTION WITH THE PICTURES). EVERYTHING is nasty, old and basically risky for out health. The only good thing is the location, but the awful experience of staying here makes it unworthy. NEVER COME HERE.

I stayed 3 nights in March 2023. It's a great location. I booked a female room but when I got in, a man was there. At first I thought I made a mistake but he disappeared never slept in the room so didn't bother me too much. The weird thing is that a man was also expecting to check in the following day. So they should take a better care of their registration. The building is very old but overall clean. My bed only had a sheet when I arrived, I had to ask for a blanket. No idea how the heating worked, it was just switching on in the middle of the night so you can by chilly during the day and evening. No breakfast provided just a bagel with strawverry jam. The wifi is not great. intermitent. It was really noisy with the refurbishment taking place. The walls are thin. You can hear people banging doors (or just banging😉🤭). The staff is nice.

If you are planning to stay in this hostel, RUN. If you already paid for your stay, I'll pray for you. This is the worst place I have ever stayed in my life, and I have camped in the middle of the desert. The photos of the rooms couldn't be further from the truth, whoever took them deserves an raise. When we checked-in there were no towels left, so after taking a shower I had to dry myself with a sweatshirt. No one ever even deigned to knock on our door to clean our room. The bathrooms were so disgusting that there were bugs walking in the hallway where you entered them. When we complained they assured us that they cleaned the bathrooms every day, I don't know which bathrooms of which buildings they were referring to, because the bathrooms were getting more and more disgusting each day. The garbage reached such a point that my sister plucked up the courage to grab a bag from the storage room and took out all the toilet paper with poop and tampons that were there. Only 2 out of the 5 taps of the restroom worked, the soap dispenser was always empty. The shower room smelled disgusting, to the point that I seriously considered showering with a mask on. After showering we felt more dirty than clean. Also, to go to the bathroom we had to go down a floor, because on our floor there was no bathroom for women. Of the 11 nights we planned to stay, we stayed four. We picked up our stuff and ran for our lives. At reception there was a sign that said if you cancel 24 hours in advance they will give you a refund. We are still waiting for a refund of the 6 nights that we are entitled to. We have sent messages through the website and to the email of the hostels for two weeks now and we have not received any response. I wouldn't recommend this hostel to my worst enemy, which is ironic, because my worst enemy is jazz on the park. And what kind of hostel doesn't have elevators? This had to have been the first red flag to get us out of...

DO NOT STAY HERE. I would like to preface this review by stating that I was compensated 50% of the total rate that was paid upon checkout today. However, money does not make up for the inconvenience nor the insults and arguing that occurred today when I spoke to Eric (front desk) at checkout. Instead of addressing issues that occurred and take responsibility (on the hostel's end) he accused me of "not listening" and "being unreasonable". That argument is the reason I decided to post it. I hope it was worth it.

  1. The sink in the women's restroom was not working until the second day; I had to tell two reps at the front desk. The first one did nothing and told me to go to the first floor. 2)There was no wi-fi in my room during the entire stay; only available in the lobby. This was not clear or stated anywhere.
  2. my (electronic) key card was switched to another room (somehow) so I had to go to the front desk. (I had just gotten out of the shower and was not dressed)
  3. one of the two toilet's in the women's restroom is dysfunctional; required four flushes
  4. when informed the front desk about the dysfunctional toilet, the custodian locked the door to the working bathroom. I had to go downstairs AGAIN to address that
  5. I couldn't access my room today at 10:45 am. (Checkout isn't until 11am so the hostel screwed up on this.) Once again, I was just coming out of the shower and not properly dressed.
  6. There was a man in the women's restroom. The guy wasn't the problem. The issue is Eric calling me "unreasonable" when I told him they have cameras and could manage that. The rooms are electronically accessed they COULD do the same for the m/f bathrooms or make keys. Soooo many establishments do this.
  7. Eric--the rep at front desk--decided it was appropriate to go back and forth, argue and insult me instead of focusing...
