Mangetsu Sushi — Restaurant in New York

Had a poke bowl 6/21/2025. It was good and different, as they included wasabi and some ginger (pictured), on the side and easily removed, if you don’t want/like. The poke “sauce” had a hint of mayonnaise like taste to me; maybe the Japanese Kewpie mayo I guess.

I asked the waitress if brown rice was an option, and not available. Maybe this can be a future, extra charged option, if demand is there to justify the incurred brown rice & cooker cost.

Poke bowls I get from various restaurants in the LA area seem to have a sauce that is soysauce based (thats what it tastes like to me) and have never included...

Picked up a Manhattan roll and 3 tuna nigiri for lunch. When a new little sushi place opened in the neighborhood we just had to go check it out. Intimate dining atmosphere, amazingly fresh, artfully plated , and lovingly curated menu. It was so great!
