First off, never judge a book by review photos, they don't do it justice! What can't be caught in a photo is the love put into something. This place is a gem of an RV park! The owners have made every effort to cover all the things you need in an RV park, clean and tidy bathrooms, nice showers, bathing amenities, even a/c and a fan in the bathrooms! The laundry area (we didn't use) is also air conditioned! There is a heavy-duty dog wash station, a decent sized dog run with poop bags and a trash receptacle. The sites: every site seems to be nice and spacious, level and clean. The water sites were truly my favorite! There were nicely built private "gazebos" with rocking chairs overlooking the water, and when the sun was setting I moved the rockers (easy) to watch the sunsets and it felt like I was sitting on my front porch. The concrete pads were good sized and a nice picnic table and fire pit at each site. (Ours even had a stack of firewood, which we never used, being Late June) There were flowering bushes and unique plants planted all over with care, even fruit trees! The shady old Oaks made you feel like you were in the "olde Florida" which you truly are! This was a 4 night, 5 day getaway for us and we are so glad we picked this place. We WILL be back! Other great amenities: an air conditioned clubhouse where they allowed you to hang out, cook, make coffee, watch dvds, play games, (all provided) you can buy ice from a bucket on the honor system for 2$ a 5 gal bucket. We met the nicest people living there full time! We understand why they do as the peaceful atmosphere and location to the river (we paddle- boarded to the Suwannee) the boat docks, the wild birds and truly no biting bugs! It's hard to believe! I can't say enough nice things about this place, we WILL be back!

My family and I stayed with some friends and their kids for Memorial weekend and we had a great time. The sites are really good sized and, considering they don't get a lot of kids staying out there, they had stuff to help keep the kiddos entertained. They have a small play area and a bunch of games and movies in the club house for family fun in the A/C. There is a canal around the entire place that you can go fishing or put a boat in to get out to the river with lots of updated boat docks. The bathroom stalls and showers are a bit small, but I'm not and was still able to get cleaned up just fine. They were kept cleaned and stocked the entire time we were there. The owner and his wife are super friendly and we chatted for quite a while like we'd known them for ever. The camp hosts were amazing. They were around often to check on us and make sure that we were enjoying ourselves and to see if we needed anything. There was a band there on Sunday afternoon and it was a great time. They are still doing a lot of renovations and updating around there, I can only imagine the next time we get to make it out what all they'll have going on. We will definitely be going again with and without the kiddos. I highly recommend coming out and staying the weekend. Bring your poles and relax in the peace and quiet.

Pro: * Scenic and convenient location * Meet and greet very good and they guide you to your site * Great wifi (might be best I've tried in a campground) * Nice water side decks to relax on * Nice dog cleaning station * Several machines in laundry area * Inexpensive for full hook up * Owners making consistent updates /upgrades Con: * Truck noises from highway (up front and along alligator alley) * Showers and toilets are clean, but do need to be modernized * No swimming Depends: * Campgrounds well lit with mercury vapor lights (I don't care for as I enjoy the night skies and prefer dark campgrounds) * Fishing/kayaking on the Suwanee is good. (May through August there are Atlantic Sturgeon which make multiple leaps which can make kayaking interesting) * Be aware there is no camp store * Small play area for kids * Dog "park" Great 1 to 3 day stay or long term if quiet, reading and laying about is your thing!

I was reading a review from here and had to smile. A man had left a negative review about the campground because he wanted to stay here permanent and the owners wanted to know what type of camper he had and what shape it was in. He must not have had one they wanted here.

New owners have worked hard to clean up this park. The staff is super friendly and come around often to help anyway they can. Just a few of the improvements are trimming trees, new elect., water lines and a general overhaul of the place. They put out notices that the area around your camper needed to be cleaned and orderly, no trash, no cars on blocks, no junk boats that didn't run, things just to keep up appearances. Some people were asked to leave and some left on their own. Now they screen permanent requests and that makes the park safe and secure for all that use it. This is and RV Park and not a trailer park.

Weekenders and overnighters don't get the scrutiny that perms get. They want this place hassle free with everyone safe and secure, so they do have to have rules. This is first and foremost a family place for all to enjoy. No drugs no loud parties just a place to enjoy your camping experience.

Bathroom are a bit dated, but they are super clean and work has started and will continue until they are fully updated. I'm seeing the work done here everyday and now they are getting new docks built. It's amazing all that has been done in just the last several months.

I'm not an owner, just a guy staying here with my wife and loving all the improvements that have gone on here.

I just thought it was funny a negative review was actually a positive for most people who want to just have a great time...

It's a beautiful area. The park itself has turned over management and ownership several times in the past few years. I lived there in 2016. And the shower houses were in Extremely bad shape. I had to clean them myself because no one else would. Then they were taken over again just after I left. Now I live in a park nearby and Many of the same people who lived there are in this park and a few others around. I've kept in touch with them and was told that the new owner/management kicked out almost everyone right after I left. They said that they had a lot of drug and prostitution issues. I can believe that because it was going before I left and was going on when I lived there. Good luck staying there. The funny thing was that they would only allow RVs of less than ten years old to camp there. When I checked them out, I actually had to show proof of insurance and age of my RV before I could even pull in. Then when I got there they had to inspect the RV and take thier own pictures. They've raised rent several times almost without notice. They also require you to pay your own electric. Also required a Deposit. Suggest that you take a picture of your electric meter before plugging in. Then again each and every month. Also had a problem with the "cable" always. The wifi was fair at the time. But only Fair not good. Oh and the Several times that I cleaned the bathrooms myself, I was only thanked by the people who used it. Never a thanks or a rent reduction from the owner/management. I just suggest being careful. It may be much better now. But I would have to actually look things over...
