Visiting Old Town for over 20 years and this is/was my 1st visit. Not something you would expect given its location as you drive down a dirt pathway, through what is a neighborhood of sorts, with water everywhere and homes that are on stilts where the first floor begins at 10 feet+. You end up at the end of this dirt path to see what appears to be a two-story shack, on stilts. Do we turn around and back out slowly or tread forward? The latter was the better option! Again, don't be fooled by an initial navigation to, and its appearance. Immediately seeing the place I was intrigued. In the parking lot alone you had Harley's, next to trucks (new/old), hauling boats behind next to Chryslers, Fords, etc. The whole gamut. People walking around, just having conversations - as if they were in their own yard having a bar-b-q with friends and family. Water to one side was obvious and ominous with the small wooden floating decks. Again, bail or engage? We engaged. It was a cold, windy, sunny day. Started underneath but ended up outside(ish) at the edge on a deck of sorts closest to the water and a single man band. All I can say is I do not regret stumbling across this establishment as the atmosphere was great, the food was awesome - the best tasting burger I have EVER had hands down! The guy playing/singing not 4 feet from us was fabulous and with an eclectic flare of songs, which was nice. Have to say, the bathroom - was so clean - lol. Did not expect that given ... but wanted to mention it. My only complaint, but with a grain of salt given the atmosphere, the location on the water, live music, awesome food, and service - was the food price... not for the faint of hearts. A fully loaded hamburger and fries, a cup of tea, 6 butterfly shrimp, and a small container of fish dip was $43 dollars. Seems way overpriced for a burger and some shrimp to me. But again, I do factor in the entire experience and feel it was totally worth it to me for my first visit. I will say this is a very worthy visit if you enjoy the type of atmosphere that it is. I look forward to my next visit, but with food prices - not something I can afford weekly for sure. To reiterate, I doubt anyone will...
Read moreSunday April 2nd My husband and thought what a great day to go Belle sit by river and share a Margarita Bucket! Which we have done before! And request a different brand of tequila….said they couldn’t do it. They have to use one brand. Usually when we go with Shelby or Emily are tending bar. They both have done it but also explained it would be extra , we have always agreed to this. Now yesterday we went and I wrote a review which someone has removed! Yesterday We went as I said New person we didn’t recognize at the bar! We waited to be waited on, made our request. We were told the same thing. I was ready to order a different drink. While the bar tender was making two not one but two buckets! We didn’t say anything Just excepted what was happening. So a waitress was at tablet placing an order. With glasses and feathers tattooed on her upper arm. Stuck her nose in where it did not belong. She was very rude Treated us terribly I sure would not want my employees treating customers like that! We didn’t drink our drinks but paid the bill. As I walked away after paying I saw two woman, told them we had two full buckets at the end of the bar, and if they wanted them they should go and grab them! Ya know we have been in hotel hospitality business a long time! Longer than the age of most employees there!
Yes if they are not to do something Then just don’t do it People will except it
But the waitress with the glasses called Shelby, she came to the bar. They went out back and Shelby was not the gal we recognized! The waitress had her all fired up and came out and was very snippy with us! The verbal abuse is not welcomed by anyone! And sure isn’t what we went there for! Customer says they have had something there before. Three people should not jump down their throats and say no you have not. We don’t do that We don’t have that We’re not allowed to do that
Then how in the name of God have we had them 3 or 4 times before Twenty four hours later and I am still very upset about how we...

We decided to sit at the bar this time where we proceeded to be ignored by a gum chewing bartender that had more attitude than server skills or personality. We left. Tried it again last night and our third experience was by the worst. Started off great with a greeting at the hostess stand from one of the friendliest of servers. She was actually smiling. After we were seated, the assigned server walked right by us with absolutely zero acknowledgement. We waited well over 5 minutes for someone to take a drink order. My boyfriend went to the bar where the same bartender from the week before ignored him again because she was on her phone. We got our drinks absent of any kind of hospitality. There was no point in staying. The card we used there twice before got declined and we didn't know why as there was plenty of funds on there. However, that's not the server's fault. My boyfriend left angrily to get cash and I asked to speak to a manager. As a former server and business owner, I'm not one to post a negative review without having at least provided face to face feedback. Well, the manager was on a "very important phone call" and I waited about 20 minutes. A free beer was shoved in front of me. I didn't drink it. I just wanted to tell the manager that when we decide where to bring our business, we want to feel like we matter and we're welcomed. This was the poorest dining experience we've had in all our American travels. A lot of staff literally sitting around doing nothing at all. No professionalism among the staff and clearly...
