Mattress Firm Newington- Berlin Turnpike — Hotel in Newington

Went here to buy a mattress with my girlfriend. The sales rep quickly let us know how many years of experience he had, I wish it translated in his sales process. We tried to pay with two different cards, were told the system wasn't working which resulted in a hard credit inquiry to see if we qualified for a financing program that ended up not being necessary as we were then able to use the two payment methods once the system started to work again. Not the biggest deal in the world, but what happened next was completely unacceptable. We were very clear with the sales rep that we would not be available for a delivery until 6pm-8pm on a specific day. He told us that would be no problem. We receive no call the night prior to confirm the delivery. Day of we get a text that it will be delivered from 8:45am to 10:45am. Instant panic because neither of us were home and both of us had to work, as expressed at the time of the sale. I call in and they tell me "6-8pm is the time that we'd call to set up the delivery not the actual delivery time". Well that is absolutely not what we were told, and we were very specific that we were talking about the delivery time not the time of a phone call. I am a sales manager and I know how important it is to be clear in communication as well as how important it is to pay attention to details, this was not communicated clearly to us by the sales rep. We never received the call and never confirmed the delivery. Employee Matthew was an excellent help today in keeping up with communication between us and the delivery drivers and he did his best to stop the drivers from delivering, but the drivers ended up delivering it anyway even though we weren't home and weren't there to confirm it. So then we had to, during our work hours, try to coordinate with our apartment complex to hold our items for us since we weren't there to receive it. Why so much miscommunication? Why would something get delivered if it was never confirmed and why did we not receive a phone call the night prior? I promise you, when we were discussing this, it was clear we were discussing delivery time and day. Will not be going to this location in the future. Lots of added stress for no reason.

Update: Came home to our mattress, its brand new but has yellow stains all over it. Now waiting on a replacement. This is an absolute nightmare. Shout out to Matthew for helping us through this, that man deserves a raise. The rest of the company needs to get it together. Where is the...

I had to do an exchange after inadequate body support with a S&F mattress. I walked into this location just to see what was available and Nathan was very informed and helpful. He took the time to review the various types of mattresses and understood the support and materials I was looking for. I ended up going with a Simmons Legends Luxury Firm. Nathan also assisted me with a pillow and I have used it for 4 month now (very pleased). My new mattress is great. I will admit I do prefer a bit more firmness but not as much as the next level. I reached out to Nathan and asked clarifying questions regarding the firmness and he was very helpful. I feel confident with my decision and have been sleeping well since it was delivered. Update: I purchased this mattress just around two years ago. Initially the Comfort level and firmness was ideal. Within a few months the mattress started to sink more than what you would expect with body impressions. What made it more challenging was when the temperature in the room was high the mattress would sink even more. I had converted from a pillow top to this luxury firm mattress to alleviate the sinking feeling. Unfortunately it was worse than the previous mattress. I now have to place multiple towels between the box spring and Mattress to prop up the center to accommodate for the sinking. This mattress just does not live up to its name. At some point it would be nice if there was a mattress that would do what it states. Unfortunately Mattress Firm does not carry any latex mattresses which would probably be what I need due to the Natural buoyancy of the product. I was looking for a new mattress as mine was trying to kill me slowly. I went to at least 6 different mattress stores and there was always something that didn't work for me...usually the price! I walked into Mattress Firm and met Megan and she was awesome! I told her what I was looking for and what my price range was and she showed me a couple different mattresses but I immediately went back to the first one. It was perfect for me.
