Dinette Depot — Local services in Newington

The company slogan is spot on! "Come See What You've Been Looking For." We were looking for a kitchen table but not exactly dure what. We looked at other Big stores and nothing caught our eye. We went to Dinette Depot and upon entering we saw a beautiful maple table, although too big for our space. We were greeted by Barbara. She asked us what we were looking for. She explained that most of the items were custom made pieces by the Amish in Ohio or from Canada. We explained the size we needed to fit in our eat-in kitchen. She said we could get the table we were looking at, in a smaller size and also get a leaf for expansion. We could also choose the wood, finish, and design of the legs as well. We ended up with the boat shape table, which would give a bit of room when the table was extended. Chose our leg style as well as the style of chair in matching wood. Chairs could be padded or not. We ordered a table that is the same size we currently use (with a leaf in) and then ordered a 12" leaf as well as an 18" leaf. This will allow flexibility based on # of people. While not inexpensive (and we usually would think about a substantial purchase like this), we know this will be an heirloom that can be used by generations. Amish craftsmanship is beautiful!! We bought on the spot. Our custom hand-made table and chairs will be here before Thanksgiving and we can't wait to use it!

Barbara was wonderful, taking time to ask us about our needs and providing guidance, advice and options. We had not seen anything like the tables at Dinette Depot in other stores. We truly did find what we were...

Visited the store with the intent to look at counter height stools. They have a large selection of stools to purchase as well as a very large sample of floor models to get an idea of what you may want to order. Barbara was the only person at the store today, she told us to feel free to browse and when ready she would come over and answer any questions we may have. After browsing the store for about 30 minutes we approached her for some help. We informed her generally what we were looking to purchase with respect to style of stool. She is very well informed and helped us by pointing out different manufacturers, their style options and features. Once we decided on a manufacturer and model, she was very helpful in helping us select the base color of the stool frame and the material of the seat. Because of how helpful Barbara was and a special sales promotion, we were very comfortable in ordering from her. On our way home we stopped at another store which carries the same brand of stool that we ordered. The prices there were the same as Dinette Depot before their sale discount. Based on our experience I highly recommend Dinette Depot and Barbara if you are looking for quality...

I came here with the intentions on buying 3 bar stools, 3 island stools, and a kitchenette table with chairs. My husband and I picked out exactly what we wanted and finally got a price on everything. While asking my husband what did he think about the price for all of the pieces, the old sales lady with blond hair (she never told us her name) said I stayed late for you so are we doing the deal or not with an attitude. That comment right there set me off. No we're not doing the deal and I will look else where. Mind you it was only about 5:10pm. They closed at 5:00pm. If I'm going to to spend $4,500 on chairs and a table I want to make sure that it's what my husband and I want. My husband asked when we first came in was it ok to look around because it was about 4:30pm and she said no problem. She made a smart remark when we first came in as well. I did not like the attitude of this woman. Take your business elsewhere.

I gave 2 stars because I like that you can customize if you want but I'm all about great customer service and this place lacks that...
