Blue Beach Motel — Hotel in North Kingstown

I just want to say that I don’t review places on here wether I’ve had a positive or negative experience but this place rubbed me the wrong way.

I don’t know where to start. It’s going to be a long one so sit tight. If I could put 0 stars I absolutely would.

First off the only positive element to my stay was that the room was very clean and seemed to be well kept.

Now let’s get to what rubbed me the wrong way. I’d like to start with on Friday my family and I had to leave our apartment at 8 pm due to a water leak. This was a very last minute stay that my mom’s landlord paid for. We get to this motel and everything was perfect! Well by Sunday Jan 5th the front desk had an issue about us being in a 4 person (double queen bed) room. Meanwhile it was just my mom and her two adult kids. So that would make it only 3 people. We never exceeded 4 at any time. Yes we did have one visitor but nothing was wrong with that and they never spent the night.

Comes to find out today they called the landlord since their card was on file and complained about our room being filthy and A mess. Therefore they kicked us out over this appalling accusation. I was taken back because nothing about our room during our stay was filthy.

Since we only had a microwave we went to the store and bought dry food to eat or make in the microwave. We stored those on the counter above the microwave.

We also didn’t find out that we had to leave until 12 pm when our landlord called us saying the front desk was kicking us out. Well the front desk came to our door (room 102) at 1215 and told us that check out was at 11 am.

After I flipped shit Nicely they decided to extend our check out to 1230. But when I asked them about their issue the day prior on the amount people per room they said it’s strictly a 2 adult and 2 child only. Therefore my mom and her 2 adult children did not meet the criteria. MEANWHILE they KNEW all three of us were adults when the landlord booked the stay. We were supposed to be there a week and they kicked us out with false accusations. Leaving us on the streets until our landlord was able to find a new place.

I just want to make everyone aware of their alleged strict 2 adult and 2 child rule. I’ve never heard of this at all. Also that they will try to kick you out over a messy room that’s not even messy.

Trust me I made sure to take videos and pictures!

We stayed on October 6th, 2025. We stayed one night to visit wickford village. When we checked in there were zero cars in the parking lot . Eventually 2 more cars arrived for the rooms adjacent to ours. First glance, the room appeared clean.upon setting up my CPAP machine I noticed 2 very large dead flys. 1 on the nightstand and the other on the floor under the window. My wife showered while I unpacted and made reservations for dinner. I heard her scream from the shower. She had cut her big toe on a crack in the fiberglass shower floor. I wrapped it with tissue and took a bandaid from my wallet when the bleeding stopped . Accidents happen, and you would not be reading this review if not for the call from the manager two days later informing me that I was being charged for a new shower floor. He actually told me it was just a slight line of a crack before we checked in. My wife weighs 114 lbs. Apparently they knew the floor was cracked before we even made the reservation, yet they put us in that room. Only three rooms rented that evening and they gave us that one. I can only guess they did that waiting to blame and charge an unwitting guest for a repair they already knew was needed. I called back today to inform them I was disputing the room charge with Amex. I spoke with Raj. He also said it was just a line and not cracked all the way through . They were dishonest and don't deserve my business. Buyer beware of this...

We stayed at the Blue Beach Motel for 3 nights, arrived late so I called to late them know I was treated like family the owner told me to take my time & have a safe journey. That made us feel like family. The motel was recently updated the room was large, microwave, refrigerator,large shower everything was so clean. Air conditioner worked well. The hot water does work well just needs a little time to get there. The owner & his brother own & run the motel & are very friendly & helpful. The motel is about 25 minutes to Newport with beautiful scenery going there It is the best price for this area & very convenient to different beaches along the way. The price is exceptional for this area. I thought there was a hot tub for all customers as stated on booking.com but it’s only in certain rooms. I am so glad...
