here are not enough stars to rate this place. On a whim the husband and I decided to check this place out while running some errands. We were both hungry, and seeing as it was noontime, we figured what the hell, why not?!.
Now I am always saying "we dont have any really great food places around here that are different. It's all the same. Upon walking in to this place, I knew it was going to be different. This isnt a sandwich shop. It's an experience. It's no frills, no nonsense, simple, modern. Chalk board style menu that lists everything out for you on the wall with iconic names like "The Montauk" and "The Islander"
This is an absolute must try shop if your looking for an unforgettable sandwich at a decent price.
Set in the corner of a strip mall, if you're not careful you might miss it. Plenty of parking, gluten free bread options are available, take out, call ahead, eat in, limited beer options, but something for everyone. Desserts, looked like there was catering available. In the short amount of time we were there, they must have taken and served an additional 50 people.
I seriously cannot get this place out of my mind. It is THAT good. If you're still going to those chain sandwich shops, you have NO idea what...
Read moreAyy, you wanna sit down and talk about The Provisioner? Fuggetaboutit. This ain't just any deli, capisce? It's a New York masterpiece, a sanctuary for your taste buds. When you walk through those doors, it's like you've been accepted into the family—our kind of family, ya know?
So, I tried the Italian Job, and let me tell you, it was like the heavens opened up. The ingredients—so fresh, it's like they've been blessed by the Godfather himself. You taste that mozzarella? I wouldn't be surprised if it was smuggled straight from the motherland.
Now, don't get me started on the bread. Baked right there, in-house. I'm talkin' dough so good, you'd think Grandma was back there kneading it herself, God rest her soul. If that bread was a guy, he'd be a made man, no doubt about it.
Look, I've been to a lotta sandwich joints in this city, but The Provisioner? That's my go-to spot. It's the boss of all bosses in the sando world. You go there, and you'll understand—this is not just food, it's a culinary initiation. Trust me, one bite and you're part of the...
Read moreThe Provisioner is a destination to seak out enthusiastically, order a pickup for the team or stop in for a quick bite. We were greeted by a non-over whelming but super chipper staff that was excited to tell all about their top quality ingredients and even share their vendors. I had the special "italian" with motardella prosciutto and salami with provalone and my wife the Montauk, a turkey bacon tomato and melted provalone both stuffed into a chiabatta, accompanied by a half sour quarter pickle. The portions are plenty so prepare to share or have a ton left over. I will be returning to try the five hour red wine braised beef, can't get enough od this place. Not a ton of room to get cozy with three squeezed in to one...
