The service was OK at this hotel. The breakfast was fine. The staff were friendly & accommodating. The one exception re staff was the female desk attendant who lied about the problem in our room. Our room had a sign that read, "We recommend setting your AC at 72° for air quality." Well, that is cold for me & I would never sleep. Now, when the AC was LOWERED to my, the paying customer's liking, the linoleum FLOOR became WET. The large mirror in the room started sweating & becoming blurry. Overnight, the BATHROOM floor AND the ENTIRE room floor was WET, with PUDDLES forming. I had a hip replacement in June & was walking with a cane. IMAGINE! My husband reported this situation to the front desk attendant, the lady who lied. She informed my husband that, "because of condensation from the AC, and humidity in Myrtle Beach, the floors are usually damp, and even my apartment in Myrtle Beach has damp floors." The temperature that NIGHT was 75°. Unknown to this lady, I grew up in Conway, 14 miles from Myrtle Beach. Plus, my husband & I have stayed at many varied hotels in Myrtle Beach over the last 30 years. NEVER had WET floors in the 30 years we've stayed at hotels. The home of my parents NEVER had WET FLOORS. My husband & I talked with 3 other customers who were staying at this hotel. ALL 3 of them said that their "FLOORS WERE WET." If you stay at this hotel and your AC is ABOVE 72°, you WILL have WET FLOORS. After complaining to the front desk, we were moved to another room. The SAME thing happened in that room...WET floors, damp bedding, damp pillows. It was very UNCOMFORTABLE during this stay, so we cut our time short and checked out.😟

Upon entering the room, I was immediately met with a strong, moldy odor that persisted throughout the stay. In addition, I noticed multiple cleanliness issues that raised serious health and hygiene concerns, including: • Visible dirt and grime on the headboards • Floors that appeared unclean and sticky to the touch • Walls that were literally sweating, giving the room a damp and musty atmosphere • An overall lack of proper ventilation and air circulation These conditions made the stay extremely uncomfortable and left me concerned about potential health risks. Days later, hotel over charged us for our stay. We were scheduled to stay for 6 nights. We checked out on day 4. Hotel agreed to only charge for 4 nights; they would refund us $50.00 plus one night. The cost per night was $148.79 + 19.34 tax. The cost for the four nights was $672.52 - $50.00 - $110 =$512.52. Hotel charged my husband $1000 on July 9. They refunded $110.00 + $20.00. After speaking with Heather and Deanna (from Corporate), I was told to await 2 - 5 days to clear up this matter. Today (7/15/25), no response I called and spoke to Tanner. I gave Tanner my ticket number. According to Tanner, there has been no feedback from the manger at the property. Tanner continue to go back and forth with me and did not want to transfer me to someone above him. I am disgusted with this whole experience: hotel and Best Western so called customer service I would never stay at another BEST WESTERN in my life. Staff is giving the run around even after I was told that I would get a response in 2 - 5 days.

The reviews left for this hotel, leads me to wonder if it was written by staff or friends of the staff. My family and I stay was absolutely disgraceful, embarrassing and humiliating. Not only was the manager, Aneesa very unprofessional, condescending and WRONG, she also did not take accountability. My family and I reserved a room from 8/1/25- 8/3/25, total of $493, which was paid. Upon arrival (8/1/25) we were informed of the $100 security deposit which, of course is a norm, and no issue at all, and it was paid. The next morning (8/2/25) my sister received a message of the hotel attempting to withdrawal $236 from her bank account . We went to the front desk, where attendant Bob, was very kind, explain how that had happened to tons of other residents and it was a mistake, Apparently there system did an authorized withdrawal charge of half the amount ($257), and a just an authorized hold for the other half ( $236). However, the entire amount was already taken out of our bank account. According to the staff, that inconvenience took place with a few other customers as well. However, we were not sure why we would have to pay an extra $236, when the first one was already drafted out of our account. Bob was taking his time trying to resolve the issue, however the "manager" Aneesa decided to finally step out from the back to do everything but resolve the issue. She demanded an extra payment with no apology or understanding to THEIR mistake. She kept telling Bob to not say certain words to us like, "authorization, posted, and charged", because as she stated " we would not understand" . She explained how the $236 is a pending charge and will drop off our account on Monday, 08/04/25, because it was just authorized and not charged. But we still had to make another payment. My instinct knew instantly that we would not see that $236 Monday, or Tuesday , as Tuesday is the day I am writing this review. My sister and I decided to call the police to have some type of mediation, from an outside party . That really set her off. She demanded that we check out at that moment, and we would be "refunded" the $236, because she will cancel the payment in that moment. How can you cancel a payment that is "pending" and "already scheduled to be dropped"? She spoke over us and at us. She told us she did not steal our money, which she was not being accused of in the first place. She stated that a lot. Which showed a lot. The police arrived and she never came out from the back, which was also very suspicious. As the manager aren't you supposed to be included in any situation customer related? She did not ! While my family and I packed our belongings to leave, Aneesa sent a man, who I assumed was maintenance, to come inside of the room to check and see if anything was broken, while we were getting my nephew dressed, and my disabled mother together to leave. He kept apologizing ! Several times. He did not want to disturb us while we were packing, she sent him in there 2 mins after it was decided we were leaving. We just bought the trolley into the room, and he followed us in. The police arrived and was VERY KIND, AND UNDERSTANDING . Aneesa would not know that because she never introduced herself to him. She left Bob, to speak with the police officer. While speaking to the police, Aneesa sent house keeping to us to tell us "SHE WANTS YOU OUT NOW!" . The cop was just as confused as us. He told the lady that we were almost done packing and we will be out once we were done. The cleaning lady walked away with her hands up, shaking her head. BOB NEEDS TO BE THE MANAGER! ANEESA NEEDS MUCH MORE TRAINING! I was very shock to learn from the GM , the next morning when we spoke on the phone, that Aneesa is still in training and very new. The hotel lobby and rooms greet you with a strong moldy odor, which they say if you air is on a certain temperature can prevent it. IT DOES NOT ! There are bugs , stains on sheets, and the air quality in the room is HORRIBLE ! To think you would get an extra $236 from me, for a stay like this is laughable....

The hotel is and it's rooms are decorated nicely and the price was reasonable for the length of time we were there. The rooms are decently sized , and although we had several issues initially with ours we were able to move pretty easily. The new room was much better but the water pressure was an issue. It was fine when you run the tub but next to non existent when you turned the shower on. That made me wonder if they had some kind of a limiter on it , or if the shower head was that blocked with sediment. We just dealt with it but it was very frustrating. The breakfast is amazing and the lady who takes care of it and the breakfast area was fantastic. I truly enjoyed coming down and seeing what was getting served every morning and having pleasant casual talk with her and the other guests. The breakfast menu changed daily which I really appreciated because we were there for almost a week and things didn't get boring. It was all tasty good quality food. Honestly it was the most pleasant breakfast set up I have ever experienced at a hotel. I think they should consider putting a sign on their coffee machine saying that water will come out first, I don't drink coffee so it didn't affect me but I saw so many people either walk away thinking it was empty or go bother the breakfast lady thinking it was broken when really it was perfectly fine. It would help her to not have to keep repeating herself and also stop people walking away disappointed and wasting cups and coffee. Also, there's something up with the finish on the dining tables. They're clean and don't feel sticky but once you set a warm plate on them it becomes very tacky underneath and by the time you finish you have to fight the table for your plate and it's impossible to not leave bits of it behind on the tabletop. They should have them refinished or consider vinyl table tops as we weren't the only guests who struggled with it. We did try and explain to the others who voiced issues that the table wasn't dirty like they suspected. They were kept very clean. There's just something up with the finish on them. They have a waffle maker like most hotels but also have a toppings area of things to add to them and I appreciated that. There's a beautiful back deck at the end of the hotel lot, and the view is wonderful. However their pool is far too small for how many guests they have, I wasn't able to swim and could see even from the deck that there were pieces of unidentifiable stuff in there. I think if they're going to have a pool they should have someone out there periodically to clean it through the day especially when it's so small and has to hold so many people. Over all I will say- it was a satisfactory hotel to stay at. Most the staff was at least adequately polite and although a couple were less so, a few were beyond so it mostly evened out. I wouldn't mind staying again but I wish I had known the things I mentioned ahead of time. Hopefully the fixable ones are taken care of soon but just keep in mind that they may still exist...

We will NEVER return to this hotel again! We got into town around 9:00 PM, after driving for 16 hours with three children, on May 7th 2017....without many options at that hour, this Best Western looked nice...the gentleman at the front desk was very nice, polite and helpful. The room was clean...the beds...were okay. Being in the room for about 25 minutes...my 8 year old got stuck in the bathroom...I played with the handle for a couple minutes...and it finally opened. The next morning, my daughters all used the bathroom. I went to take a shower, and the door wouldn't open. Okay, so I said, we'll call the front desk and have them come open it. WRONG. We had NO PHONE in the room. My daughter went down to the desk and a very rude woman told her, she was to busy she would be there when she could. About 20 minutes later she showed up at our room. She acted completely 'put out' by having to come to our room. I asked her to open the bathroom door...she tilts her head and said 'Oh, I can't...I'm just trying to think of where you can go to use a bathroom'. SERIOUSLY? I'm 52 years old...and she thinks I want to walk around this hotel in my nightgown???? I asked her why we didn't have a phone...her response 'oh, I don't know, to be honest, someone probably stole it'. THEN REPLACE IT!!! So she says she can try and find a maintenance man to come up. She just turned and walked away. We waited almost an hour....NOTHING. I finally took a ring off of my keychain and popped the door. Took my shower and went down to there so called breakfast...where we were told...'Oh, there isn't room, you need to take it back to your room.' I walked up to the desk....and informed this 'woman' that I popped the door lock myself...and was extremely disgusted with the way she handled this issue. She goes 'Oh, you opened the door, okay...wait a minute.' She goes around the corner and says 'oh, never mind, she got the door opened herself'. REALLY? The guy is sitting in the next room and we had to wait well over an hour....FOR NO HELP!! We had my 2 year old granddaughter with us...and I said 'You did nothing, what if my granddaughter got locked in there?' Her response 'oh, 911 911, we'd call 911'. She claims there has NEVER been a child locked in a bathroom there...never!! Luckily...we only had to endure her for a small amount of time. Now, I understand...things happen....BUT, it was the way this woman handled it all...that was so not 'southern hospitality'!! They don't need to worry about us showing up there ever again. Good luck to...
