I would be surprised if this review does not get a response from the owner as I see all the other negative reviews have received a hostile, sarcastic and unprofessional response from the owner. My family and I just finished eating at this restaurant. Our waitress was very kind and helpful, which was the best thing about this place. During the meal I ordered a sweet tea and noticed something black in my piece of ice. We called over a waiter and showed him the ice and after he looked at it he immediately looked surprised as he noticed it was a bug and mentioned that he would get his manager. He showed the manager the ice right in front of us and she (the manager) said oh its just ice. My mom told her "no, ice is not black". The manager then proceeded to break the piece of ice and say that she would go look at the ice machine. She was gone for a split second and came back and asked if she could make me another drink. I told her yes but to please make it without ice (since I did not want another piece of ice with a bug in it). She never came back to the table and never acknowledged the issue or apologized for the inconveniece. It was very clear that her priority was to serve the other customers who were of a different background and she was very attentive to them but did not even care to applogize for there being a bug in my ice. Being of Asian descent myself it is so disappointing to go to an Asian restaurant that you want to patronize and support only to receive poor customer service from the owner. Based on the other reviews I have seen it seems like the owner may try to insinuate that this review is written because of ethnicity, but as I mentioned, I am of Asian descent myself so that is definitely not the case. Just to be clear the rest of the staff was very friendly and kind, it was just the owner who seemed like she did not want to acknowledge the issue. A simple apology to show she was concerned would have made a huge difference but she was not capable of doing that. As far as the food goes, it was honestly disappointing. I have colleagues who are from China and the authentic food they cooked and shared with me tasted much better than this food.
In response to owner's comment: Reading is fundamental, you may want to re-read my review. In my review I did not mention the waitress was rude. I mentioned the MANAGER was rude. The rest of the staff including our waitress was very kind. Additionally, I (a woman) am leaving this comment. I am not a black brother as you mentioned. That comment alone is quite ignorant. I would think by my name you could tell it is a woman's name. And yes the $15 tip was left to our waitress due to her excellent service. We did not let the manager's lack of professionalism influence the size of the tip that we wanted to leave the waitress as she was innocent in this situation. Additionally, the only person who showed any indication that they felt the ice was an issue or understood the severity of it was the young gentleman who was waiting on the other tables as he was the one we told about the ice since he was the one closest to the table when we saw the ice had a bug in it. No one actually apologized to us about the ice. At least you were honest about one thing in your review although you lied about mostly everything else, the ice in my glass was not clean with the bug in it. The ice machine appears to have an issue, which sounds like a health violation and concern. Additionally, you could save yourself a ton of time by actually ensuring your establishment knows how to provide good customer service and treat all customers with common decency. Based on the other reviews where customers have detailed their negative experiences at your business and your responses to those reviews, it seems like you are spending a lot of time defending the actions of the business when that time could be put into ensuring good customer service to minimize the amount of...
Read moreThe service is awful there’s only 1 waitress in the entire place who seemed to be lacking any training in how to be a waitress, not her fault. I was with a group of 11. It took over 10 minutes for the waitress to ask us what we wanted to drink, We were seated and not given menus. We had to ask for menus and even then there were not enough menus we had to share them. Two of us ordered dumpling appetizers the waitress couldn't figure out who they belonged too. We never received any dipping sauce for them. Soups came out after entrees, entrees came out separately and at an extremely slow pace. No rice was served we had to ask for it and then she brings out one medium bowl for 11 people. After an hour and a half I still had not received my meal only to find out she gave my entree to someone else 30 minutes prior mis identifying it when she served it to the wrong person so that individual received the wrong meal. Finally after figuring it out with a confused waitress I asked for my check to pay for my drink and appetizer which took another 15 minutes. On top of that I was charged a service fee of more than 10% when I hadn't received any service. I didn't even ahve a chance to sit and enjoy my meal with the rest of my party. I had to drive across the street to another restaurant to have dinner. It’s sad that in over an hour they were not able to serve our entire table. I could see if the place was busy which it was not there were only four other guests in the place when we arrived. Some in our party felt the food was too salty another ordered a sweet and sour pork which was overly sweet and she complained the meat was more fat than meat. What really bothers me is I've been looking for a nice sit down Chineese restaurant as I eat out approximately 300 or more nights a year. I will never go there again I don’t care how good the food is someone is not managing any aspect of the business properly. I was waiting for John Taffer to come crashing in to shut the operation down as its clear there is no one supervising any aspect of the business. Read moreOK let me start by saying wow absolutely phenomenal. It's about time. We got a decent Chinese food restaurant in Myrtle Beach but this one breaks the mold, hands-down the best Chinese food in South Carolina. We started with dumplings we tried the pan, fried pork and beef dumplings. My aunt who only eats lo mein said they were the most delicious thing she's ever eaten. We all agreed. These are amazing, tender perfectly seasoned in the outside wrap fantastic you just can't go wrong with any of their dumplings. I ordered the whole croaker amazing and a sight to behold with a sauce I would drink from a cup just fantastic My wife has the sweet-and-sour pork slices. None of us could stop eating off her plate. Amazing. My aunt had the Mongolian beef, so tender with the flavor like it was cooked on an outdoor grill another outstanding meal. The braised pork belly can't be beat amazing flavor that melts in your mouth the sweet-and-sour bone in pork ribs. No one at the table could stop eating. I can't think of one thing we didn't absolutely love. So if you're looking for the best food in Myrtle Beach, look no further dumplings and seafood is the winner hands-down enjoy And let's not forget the weight staff, the friendliest one of the most enjoyable times I've ever had out the owners are wonderful. Everyone in the restaurant was having a fantastic time and let's not forget the service robot that brings meals right to your table something from the future right out of a sci-fi movie had us all laughing was so much fun. Can't...
