Most important: Beds are VERY comfortable and plush!! This is critical for me and Holiday Inn Express has the BEST plush melt into the bed feeling - other than the Westin for me. I’m actually sleeping BETTER here than I do at home and noticed all my back pain has STOPPED. Not something I expected when staying at a hotel but extremely grateful for.
They also have 4 pillows per bed on the queen/double rooms. 2 embroidered on pillowcase “firm” and 2 “soft” it’s wonderful and quality is so nice here and resort like without the massive overpriced fees.
Very very clean NEW hotel. Staff is so wonderful and goes above and beyond for everyone to truly make you feel welcome and at home. I really appreciated Farah at the front desk and all her kindness.
I appreciate the hardwood flooring so we know we can truly get the floors cleaned from previous guests. (I used Clorox wipes and hand cleaned the floor upon arrival and was impressed that the wipe was CLEAN!! It wasn’t black at all - so cleaners are TRULY doing a very great thorough job).
I’ve also seen cleaners doing other rooms and they are crazy through! They even take out the air vents from air conditioner unit and were cleaning and sanitizing those as well - very impressed! I clean VRBO homes at times and am OCD so I’m grateful when I find a place that pays such attention to detail.
Everything looks and smells great (I’m sensitive to molds, mildews, etc) the staff are so incredibly kind and helpful!
Mini fridge (no freezer so had to toss our frozen fruit for morning smoothies), microwave and coffee machine but we just used coffee already made and hot water in lobby.
Extra plates and silverware always available in lobby.
Free breakfasts the usual - 3 cold cereals, hot oat meal, veggie omelet as only vegetarian hot dish, the rest is multiple meats and gravy etc. pancakes for kids & adults. Plus bagels, bread, orange and bananas. No fresh fruits but there is yogurt. No non-dairy options so we bought our own. It’s been very easy to make our meals in our room with the microwave and dishes provided etc
Juices: cranberry, apple, orange for drinks
Plenty of sitting space in lobby, checkers game for families, a clean gym to use with yoga mats and balance balls.
Swimming pool is HEATED!! Nice and warm, but no hot tub and closes at sundown which is early in the wintertime so we haven’t used it yet
The unique location of this is a bit out of the way from everything else (here for the convention center) however it’s right next to racetrack gas station and a trailhead of the greenway that you can walk or bike ALL the way to the Florida outlet mall or the Millenia Mall! Very peaceful but only recommend walking on during the daytime not at night (not lit and wildlife is out, we came back a little after dusk and hear the coyotes going nuts close behind us in the woods).
Very budget friendly, clean, comfortable, no frills on pool or TV etc but a clean place to get genuine good sleep.
Bring your own toiletries or ASK the front desk as items like bars or soap are NOT set out unless asked for at front desk.
We stayed in room 504 and truly enjoyed our stay and the quiet room & view...
Read moreAs a Platinum member of IHG, I have come to expect a certain level of service and quality during my stays. Unfortunately, this visit was a glaring exception.
We checked into the hotel around 7 PM after a long day at a theme park. Upon arrival, we were assigned a room with connecting doors. Initially, everything seemed fine until we prepared to go to bed around 10 PM. At that time, the guests in the adjoining room arrived and began talking and laughing loudly, causing a significant disturbance.
After tolerating the noise for 30 minutes, we contacted the front desk for assistance. However, it took 10 minutes just to get through to someone. We requested a room change to escape the noise, but the front desk insisted on intervening rather than relocating us. Approximately 10 minutes later, we heard someone knocking on the neighboring door, but the guests continued their loud behavior at the same volume.
We waited another 15 minutes, hoping the issue would resolve, but it did not. When we attempted to contact the front desk again, no one answered. We made at least 10 calls over the next 30 minutes, all of which went unanswered. Frustrated and helpless, we eventually contacted IHG customer service to file a complaint. Unfortunately, the response we received was disheartening: they would notify the hotel manager, leaving us with no immediate resolution.
The noise persisted until midnight, depriving us of much-needed rest. To make matters worse, the disturbances resumed at 6 AM when the neighboring guests woke up and continued until they checked out. As a result, none of us slept well, and we were utterly exhausted the following day.
Adding to our disappointment, we discovered mold on the bacon served at breakfast. We took a picture of it as evidence. This is a serious health hazard and raises concerns about the hygiene and food safety standards at your property.
This experience was unacceptable for several reasons:
Failure to Provide a Peaceful Stay: Guests expect a quiet and comfortable environment, especially during the night. The inability to address the noise issue effectively was a significant letdown.
Inadequate Front Desk Response: The lengthy wait times and lack of response to our repeated calls highlight a serious gap in your customer service.
Ineffectual Problem Resolution: Both the front desk and IHG customer service failed to resolve our issue in a timely or satisfactory manner.
Unacceptable Food Safety Standards: Serving moldy food is entirely unacceptable and poses a risk to...
Read moreFirstly, I will state that I do read reviews before choosing a hotel to stay, that's why I take the effort to write a thorough review to help others.
On a short notice, I had to travel to the Orlando area to attend a funeral, and needed a place to stay. I searched around for a place closest to the events I needed to attend. I came across this hotel, and was thrilled when I saw the heading "new hotel". Like I stated above, I do read reviews before choosing.
After reading through about 20 reviews, about 30% or more were negative. I started to wonder how a new Hotel could end up with such negative reviews so early in operation. Even some of the negatives were for dirty rooms etc.
The fact that this location was closest to the events I needed to attend, made me ignore the negative reviews, so I went ahead and booked it.
I arrived at the hotel about 1.5 hours before check in. I was assigned a room by 2 pleasant front desk receptionist. So far all went well.
The hotel lobby was clean and spotless, and the air was fresh.
The hallways leading to the elevator and the floor my room was assigned, was clean and spotless. So far all is well. Entered my room, and the same cleanliness that I saw from the main lobby upwards, continued. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the floors and bathroom were very clean.
Please bring your flip flops for the floor, because the floor in the room isn't carpeted, and they may be a bit cold.
Whoever is managing this hotel, should keep doing a good Job. Please don't allow it to run down, because some folks like myself, loves to stay at hotels that are well maintained and in good condition. The breakfast was well provided, with clean surrounding and dining area. Hand sanitizers everywhere. Thank GOD there was no mask mandate, but masking was encouraged.
Parking was in abundance.
Please note that if you plan to stay at this hotel and attend events in Kissimmee/Poinciana, travel time is about 40 minutes. The hotel is close to the main route into Kissimmee, John young parkway and about 25 minutes to Orlando international airport.
I hope my review...
