This was a last-minute reservation and I was hoping I wasn't making a mistake based on previous reviews and the photos. When we arrived, sans puppy, we were greeted by an extremely long line w/1 representative checking people in. After about 5 minutes or so the 2nd representative started assisting but seemed that he was a bit perturbed to be helping!? We still had a pet room, which was fine to us since we are used to our dog barking at random times at random things. The room was exactly like the photo! Spacious and inviting! We had water on the floor in the bathroom, not sure where that came from, but it was handled within 10 minutes of reporting, had to take the hand soap dispenser off the wall since it had not been repaired when the last person ripped it off the wall, got stuck by the screws each time I used it, had to request additional facecloths and bath towels twice; the first time we only received 1 needed 3 facecloths and 3 bath towels, 1 of which arrived dirty, the 2nd time we were able to get all we needed. Bathroom was pretty tight, hard to fit 2 people at the same time, refrigerator was working well, AC worked well, needed a deep cleaning since dust was visible, many of the plugs between the beds did not work, those at the desk would not hold a charger block, but the USB ports worked fine. There were 5 hangers for a family of 4, we did not use the coffee maker or any of the drawers, just spread out across the top of the dresser and coffee/fridge area. Beds were very comfortable and warm enough without additional blankets. Was surprised with all the seating available, side chair, stained but okay; desk chair, good; 2 ottomans, okay. "Heated pool" was freezing the night we checked in as well as the next day, it does take some getting used to! Microwave & ice machine at elevator worked as expected. Breakfast went fast & was very continental, had breakfast sandwiches but no non-meat options, coffee I could not tolerate, so went across the street to the Mediterranean place for frappes! Loved the fact the bus stop is right outside the hotel, purchased all day passes for the family. The staff was pleasant enough, the gentleman doing housekeeping saw us leave the room and did not inquire if there was anything we needed, so by the time we checked out both tiny trashcans were overflowing. Nick, the van driver, was very gracious and informative. Although it is a short ride to the beach, the conversation never lagged and you can tell he enjoys serving hotel guests! Enjoyed the 2 free beach chairs and rented an umbrella with them! Checkout was a breeze and by the time we packed up to leave, the check-in line was out the door!|We may be back now that we know what we know!|Sorry no...
Read moreMy wife and I had an excellent time during our 3 day stay at the Fenwick Inn. The location to the beach is great, only 1 street away. The Inn is over 7 miles away from the Ocean City Boardwalk but because of the price I guess that’s OK. The staff here is nice and helpful. We did have a problem with our bathroom sink and it was fixed quickly while we were at the beach. The large room was fresh and clean on arrival with the exception of a stain in the rug. I don’t think this could be cleaned. The rug would most likely need to be replaced so I only mildly hold this against them. The cleaning staff did a great job and was friendly. The bed was awesome. A positive and negative is this hotel has an indoor pool. This is desired if the weather is poor however if you like to swim in the sun it’s a disadvantage. The pool area does have an outside patio so you can get some sun after you get out of the pool. The free WIFI was extremely slow. Another negative is the lack of a coffee pot in the room. We researched this before hand and brought our own. The hotel does offer coffee 24 hours a day in the lobby but we like our morning coffee on our room without the need to leave. We had great expectations to use the fitness center (That looked Great) but I guess the vacation lazy hit us. Just kidding. The bottom line is we decided to walk on the beach in the morning instead of using the fitness center. This area has so much to do good luck fitting it all in.
We used the restaurant every morning. The management was kind enough to give us complementary breakfast and the food and service was good. We also used the lounge on Friday night. It was nice and enjoyable as they had a live band.
One disadvantage here was the lack of a balcony. When we stay at beach hotels/motels, we like sitting out on the balcony. I guess this is just a preference.
Overall we liked this hotel and I guess we would stay here again.
Likes 1 street away from the beach, The value for your money, The cleaning staff did a great job and was friendly, an indoor pool (Good for poor weather but not desired if you like to have sun while you swim. ), The fitness center, Breakfast and service at the restaurant was good, Large Room

Read moreOverall we had an enjoyable stay and experience here.
First the pros. Our suite room was absolutely massive and beautifully renovated. It had two giant 65" inch TVs (one for bedroom area and one for the living room. The kitchenette was very nice, but we wished they had some mugs included. The bathroom was on the smaller side but again nicely renovated and very clean.
The location to the beach is also awesome, just cross one street and you are there. They also have a shuttle that will take you there if you have mobility issues. We also appreciated the free 2 beach chairs that come with the room. Umbrellas are available to rent, but are 20 dollars for the day.
Note: While the hotel is close to the beach...you are over 30 minutes away from the boardwalk by car. You are at the very northern tip of Ocean City and far from the pier, amusement parks and boardwalk. Plan accordingly.
Final positive and this is huge for me. It was surprisingly Quiet! Good quality construction, and we didn't hear any noise from our neighbors or even in the hallway despite having a room by the elevator.
Now the So-so: The customer service is not great ...they clearly just want to get people checked in and out as quickly as possible. There is very little positive interaction with staff. We found the housekeeping staff very curt and not friendly at all. It seemed like a put out when we asked for additional towels even.
The amenities are...ok. The "arcade" is crammed into the laundry room which is busy, it's very expensive, and very hard to get any prizes for the kids. Also, the pool is quite small for the size of this hotel, and the hot tub ...well I wouldn't go in it personally.
The slash pad was nice..but again small.
Now, the not good. The included "grab and go" breakfast is just not good, overcrowded and poorly organized. They are out of most items by 8am, and are not flexible about the 10am end time. Literally the guy shut off the juice machine at 10:05 and wouldn't let my mom get orange juice. The coffee is dreadful as well (use the Keurig in your room).
Additionally, the pull out sleeper bed in the suite room is probably the most I'm uncomfortable bed I've ever tried. No padding and pure springs in your back...
