UPDATE: Thank you Tonya for responding. Our res was under my sister's name, Rena Hanson. I will add the sign next to the emergency button clearly states PUSH BUTTON. The "do not" part has been removed. Additionally, the jets are not jets regardless of the button being pushed. Moreover, had the WHITE emergency button been pushed the "jets" would not have activated so I know that is not the issue. The issue is the pool of water does not have actual jets as any hot tub would normally have. I looked at the NE legislative rules for hot tubs and pools and the hot tub is supposed to be heated. Your is clearly NOT heated except by the sun. While I appreciate you taking the time to respond your answers are not relevant to the actual issue and I suspect you have not attempted to use your own hot tub. If and when you do you will have a greater appreciation for our disappointment. You are the person who assured my sister over the phone that you have a working hot tub. We stayed in several 2-3 star hotels but yours was worse in our opinion due to the shear level of disappointment. Original:Checked in based on reviews and promises by desk lady saying their hot tub was open. A hot tub that is not a Hot tub is not a HOT TUB. Within 20 mins of checking in I raced to the "hot tub" to find it full of trash and cigarette butts. There is a timer on the wall. I punched 15 min. Jets were slow to fire up but then they just bubbles up over the edge. The inserts to the jets are missing. Some have plastic tubing at various lengths, some have zero tubing. Clearly not maintained. The temp was only as warm as a swimming pool in the summer, slightly above cold. Got out and showered. Turned water ALL the way to hot to get hot water. It was nice. No exhaust in bathroom and the crappy ceiling shows it. My sister stuck her fingers up inside a lamp to adjust the bulb. Lamp was plugged in. There was no bulb!! Either an indication a meth user "borrowed" it or housekeeping sucks. I did notice that while the room is very dated there was NO GUNK in the corners of the bathroom, not even behind the door. That was a pleasant surprise. We only rented this room because when we called the gal (later identified as Tonya) promised us a hot tub. Breach of Contract for sure. Phone in room doesn't work. Called front desk twice and I could hear him but he can't hear me. We are greatly disappointed in this location...per Stephanie, Manager responses we did the following: we both went to the front desk and spoke to a young man whom we couldn't understand what he said his name was but he did say it was Tanya we spoke to earlier who promised a hot tub. He said he can't do anything about it except give us a new room. New room doesn't fix hot tub. I asked if he was saying there nothing he can do to make his customers happy and he said CORRECT. He told me it was up to me to turn on the hot tub to make it hot. I told him the buttons don't work the heat. I asked him if I was also supposed to maintain and clean it. He said THATS ON HIM. He said he doesn't have a light bulb for the lamp. He and I spoke for several minutes and he was very clear there wasn't anything he could or would do. He said there was a grad party this past weekend so that's why the trash in the hot tub. We ate in the attached restaurant. 45 min after as we walked by he stopped us to tell us the hot tub is working and there are people in it. My sister asked IS IT HOT? He said YES. We looked and no one was in the tub. Spouts were turned on and whomever it was (Max time is 15 min) so didn't stay long. The broken "jets" were simply still just bubbling up over the edge. They still are not jets. We checked the temp, still cold. He did not rectify ANYTHING. Manager, we took our complaint to front desk. Based on your previous responses where you said front desk would remedy, respond, rectify, whatever.....he did not. Seems he is incapable and/or doesn't have permissions to make the customer happy. Breach of contract means you owe us for the room...
Read moreWe had recently stayed in Ogallala in December and stayed at a competing establishment. We decided to give the Quality Inn & Suites a shot since they were less expensive and seemed to have similar reviews on hotels.com. The place is conveniently located right off I-80, check-in was efficient and we were able to park right outside the door of our room, big plusses. As soon as we opened the door to the room, though, the overwhelming stench of cigarette smoke kicked us in our faces. It was as if someone was actively smoking in the room. Should be noted that there was a door to a connecting room that didn't seem to close all the way and there's a good chance the smell was wafting through that crack, but regardless of the source of the smell, it was terrible. There was an upholstered chair in the corner with some suspicious stains on it, and the valance curtain, seeming to be made of a similar fabric, had similar stains somehow near the ceiling. The bed was comfortable enough, though the familiar ping of the inner springs was a bit annoying. I tried ordering dinner from the restaurant in the hotel, but they were not offering their whole menu that night and we weren't interested in what they were offering (no knock on the hotel, I understand it's a whole separate entity.) Breakfast the next morning was typical hotel fare- reconstituted scrambled eggs, pale sausage, and a make your own waffle bar. Typical hotel coffee as well. I think one could do better than The Quality Inn & Suites...
Read moreBooked this hotel while on a road trip (4th of July weekend), costs as high as a usual night at a Hilton. Not many options to choose, picked a known brand so we can expect a basic level of hygiene, found the room to be filthy. Pubic hairs in the shower, other hair on the faucet and sink area, some unknown brown fluid on the sink counter. Complained, they offered another room, checked the next room and same issue: hairs in the shower, and someone’s facial hairs on the sink faucet and on the countertop. Requested that they send someone to clean, they sent a kid who clearly does not have any training, left a whole muddy mess with his dirty shoes after just spraying the area and rubbing it all down with a cloth instead of even wiping, hairs all still left there. Poor guy, it’s not his fault he’s had no training. I requested him to leave the cleaning solution, cleaned the space myself, then took a shower. Ran into dirty towels when I went to dry myself… if towels are dirty, sheets are likely dirty too, I don’t want to catch any infections. Everything is just so unhygienic, but I see good reviews about the hotel being clean? Idk if they’re fake or I just got unlucky, maybe there’s an inconsistency in cleaning team due to scheduling? Whoever was tasked to clean 237 and 231 did an awful job. Decided to check out early after just a couple hours of trying to cope, booked another hotel 60 miles further on our route. Never staying at a...
