This hotel completely misrepresents itself online! Their photos make the hotel look clean and inviting; nothing could be further from the truth. The lobby was dark and musty, with poker machines just to the side of the Front Desk.
We paid premium price for a suite and the room was a complete disappointment. The carpeting was dirty, you could not open the bathroom door passed the toilet, there were no ottomans in the seating area, the furniture was old and uncomfortable, and the whirlpool tub is in the middle of the room!
When we got to the suite it was very warm, so we called down to the Front Desk and asked about the air conditioning units in our room. We were told that they would not work, as the whole hotel is set on one temperature and if we were warm to open a window! OK, so we were not pleased, BUT when we went to open the windows, all the screens were broken! (In this SUITE)
Then we called down for some extra pillows. We were told by the Front Desk staff that he was the only one working and we would have to come down to the lobby for them. Once we got down there, they couldn't even accommodate our request, as they 'ran out of extra pillows'!
The hotel has no room service, and brags online about the free breakfast. OK, so I asked if we could take food from the breakfast up to our room, they said 'sure'. I went down, asked for a tray to carry the food up and was told, 'oh, we gave the only tray we had away. Don't you have a tray in your room you could bring down with you?' ARE YOU SERIOUS??
I then went to the Front Desk to ask for some toilet paper. I was told they could give me one roll and I would have to wait until housekeeping came in to give me any more.
I realize this was not a 4-four star hotel, but for the prices they charged us for a Whirlpool Suite, the service, atmosphere, and free breakfast were a complete disappointment.
Oh, did I mention the noise from the bar next door and how the party carries over into the hotel...
Read moreWhen I arrived at 3:00pm for check in there was no parking. I had to park at the bar next door. The front desk said there was a fashion show and I could have parked out back. Get to my room and the windows are so dirty and filmed over, I can't really see out them. So, I keep the drapes shut. A bit later, I needed to go back out to my car. There were now so many people just hanging around in the hallway I had to ask several of them to move so I could get past them. Same coming back in. I thought it was a little rude for the fashion show guests to be blocking the hallway. Turns out it was a wedding. Once in the elevator, the couple that followed me on wanted to know if I was with "Phil or her side". I was surprised the staff didn't do anything to direct the traffic. There was plenty of room in the lobby and in the dining area that these folks could have been waiting. I was in town for a birthday party. I came back to the room around midnight. One reason I chose this particular hotel is because I know the fan will stay on continuously and I need the noise to sleep. However, with the fan came heat and the heat would not adjust. No matter how far "cooler" I moved the dial, neither unit in the room would adjust the temp. It was too late to deal with calling the desk. Luckily one of the windows opened but I had to listen to the bar noise until the bar closed. Which was no good because I had to be up for an early family breakfast. When I checked out, the woman at the desk was friendly and apologetic about the heat issue. It would have been nice if she had been working when I arrived. I might not have started on such a sour note. For the amount of money I spent on this room, there were way too many inconveniences. Enough that I will probably choose a different property next time I'm in town. It's unfortunate because I was considering Georgio's as a high school reunion venue option. I'm not sure...
Read moreThis is easily one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in, which is unfortunate considering Giorgios is such a beautiful venue for a wedding. The first room we had didn't have working AC and there was zero WiFi signal. The 2nd room we got didn't have hot water and we found out the hard way the next morning that the refrigerator didn't work, so all the food and breastmilk we had in the freezer and fridge for our toddler and baby were ruined. I contacted the front desk about it and they said they couldn't do anything except put in a note for the manager to handle that night. I never heard back from them. The least they could've done was reimburse us for all the unopened ruined food we had just purchased from the store for my toddler. My parents also stayed here that night and their room had an outlet that was just hanging there from the wall, which is super safe for kids. Another couple I know who stayed there also did not have hot water. We also noticed the last time the elevator was inspected was 2018. And, not that it matters since it would have probably been disgusting, but the pool was also closed still. The "breakfast" was a joke--muffins, bad coffee, packaged oatmeal, and yogurt. The amount you pay per night does NOT in any way, reflect what you receive. Hands down, do not recommend this hotel. It is clear all the money they make goes towards Giorgios and not towards repairing and maintaining the hotel. They completely take advantage of the perk of being attached to a wedding venue for the convenience factor. It would be 100% worth it to pay for an Uber or other mode of transportation after a wedding just to stay somewhere other than this place. Do...
