Per Google Review - "local diner chain dishing eggs"... what the heck does that even mean? Do you they clean egg residue on a new plate, that they then serve as a new order?
Is "Lumes" a legitimate eatery? While I cannot comment on their breakfast menu, I had forced myself to gobble down these meals by co-workers who are brain-washed, paid-off, or have a poor sense of taste. I am rather confident that most animals would have better sense to eat this food. For heaven sake, their "regular" (i.e., non-Waffles fries) taste like leaches (though they too would not serve as sufficient bait).
Being a humanitarian, I do not think this questionable quality food should be donated to the homeless and less fortunate (unless, of course, the new coming U.S. President intends on using the homeless as fuel for large shipping vessels, then build them by by feeding them Lumes).
As part of their restitution to society of incarcerated criminals, I would support feeding them meals prepared by Lumes, as it would be part of their punishment for having to digest "C-grade" (at best) and unknown brands of mushrooms from China. To clarify, this is not by any way "cruel or unusual punishment," though it certainly is "cruel and unusual" to those who actually have to pay hard-earned money for bland, deplorable, possibly several day old food that has been reheated.
Patrons interested in "dining" at this establishment should stay far away from this joke. There are far more "higher quality" restaurants, like Southfork, if in the Greek mood. Thrifty meal goes should seriously consider McDonalds, Dairy Queen, or even Dunkin Donuts for superior locations to Lumes.
On a side note: I did offer my German Shepard some Lumes food, which he simply smelled, and had uncontrollable diarrhea. The cat, on the other hand, took a whiff several days ago, and has not yet come out from under the bed -it only hisses at me when it see's my feet. It is possible that the ingredients inside of Lumes are those animals on the ASPCA commercials (with the sad music in the background, asking people to donate $20 a month, as to save selling these poor animals to eatery's like Lumes), or stray animals caught in bear traps set up in the back to make future meals.
Please note - I am quite upset about the negative reviewer who marked my post as "inappropriate," which I suspect is "Gus," the owner of this sad dining establishment. Perhaps you attempt to dismiss any negative attempts at your dining establishments, but let the people know, that there are a SIGNIFICANT number of MUCH BETTER and QUALITY Greek places to eat (note: I am not competition, just a foodie who enjoys tasty meals). If it is "Gus" that marked my review as "inappropriate," I suggest you move to North Korea, and establish a Lumes in that region.
There are some situations where I may take a date to Lumes. As an example, if no magic happened on the third date, the following morning I will eat breakfast with her at Lumes, so that not only will she feel bad about the breakup, but also because her food is inedible.
I leave you all with this thought: in Sesame Street, Oscar the Grouch ate garbage. Even he had better food than...
Read moreI have eaten here plenty of times. And usually will go here to meet up with friends for a breakfast. Food is usually good . Today I really really wanted their crepes, they make good crepes and I'm picky about crepes. So I drove over there and was going to have breakfast alone, that's how bad I wanted these. Lol. I usually get a side of hash browns. But asked the waitress if they had side of potatoe pancakes. I had previous had them in a dish that they served that has the pancakes in it. I told her I don't want a whole order. And didn't want to be paying for a full order either, if that's what I'd have to do. She said no. I could get a side. Just 2 she asked ? I said great. Well I got them and the outside was sure cooked enough ( dark, if youd have cooked it anymore it would have been burnt), but the inside was cold. When the waitress brought me my container I told her so she was aware. I hadn't even finished them because they were cold. But figured I could heat them at home in the microwave. I get the bill and the charge for 2 small !!! Potatoe pancakes was 8.99. What? 4.50 a piece for these ? And they were no bigger than a 3 inch or so diameter? So I ask the lady when I go up to pay the bill. Isn't this for a full order? She takes the bill to a gentleman who now has to make a big production and ask someone else. He comes and tells me the charge is correct and that if I want to pay 1 dollar more. They'll make and add a couple. That they should have told me that the full order is 1.00 differnce. I'm think ok well a side of hash browns is 3.99 which is about what I thought this would be. And 2 tiny potato pancakes are 8.99? Ridiculous. Anyway. I said no Thank you. I'm not adding to the bill that with a 4.00 tip because I'm a ddcent tipper , for one person came to 27.00? To have breakfast. ? It's not about the money. It's the principal. And granted this man didn't know that I had told the waitress that they weren't even cooked. Anyway. Bad business form if you ask me. I think I'll be going elsewhere for awhile. That's why I rated low due to inconsiderateness to the customer not being happy and due to greed. Come on 9 dollars...
Read moreI recently had breakfast at Lumes Pancake House, and I must say, it was a delightful experience overall. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, the service was remarkably fast, and the staff, particularly our waitress, was incredibly friendly and accommodating.
To start off our breakfast adventure, we ordered the Spartan Omelette, the Blueberry Festival Crepe, and the Peach Orchard Crepe. The Spartan Omelette was a hearty and satisfying choice. Packed with fresh vegetables, and feta cheese, it was a flavorful combination that left us feeling energized for the day ahead.
Moving on to the crepes, the Blueberry Festival Crepe was a standout. The delicate crepe itself was perfectly cooked, golden and thin. It was generously filled with a luscious blueberry compote that had a delightful balance of sweetness and tartness. It was a heavenly treat that captured the essence of summer.
Equally impressive was the Peach Orchard Crepe. The crepe was again expertly prepared, and the filling consisted of juicy, ripe peaches and cream cheese.
Throughout our meal, the staff at Lumes Pancake House demonstrated exceptional efficiency and attentiveness. Despite the bustling atmosphere, our waitress ensured that we had everything we needed and checked in on us regularly, making sure our dining experience was pleasant and enjoyable.
The only minor drawback was the restaurant's busyness, which led to a slightly noisy environment. However, given the quality of the food and the attentive service, it was a small inconvenience that didn't significantly impact our overall experience.
In conclusion, Lumes Pancake House is a fantastic breakfast spot that delivers both in terms of taste and service. The Spartan Omelette, Blueberry Festival Crepe, and Peach Orchard Crepe were all excellent choices, showcasing the kitchen's skill and dedication to flavor. If you don't mind a lively atmosphere, this is definitely a place worth visiting for a satisfying and...
