I had a deeply disappointing experience at the Belk Outlet in Palm Coast, Florida, and feel compelled to share it.

While shopping for men’s clothing, I noticed a rack clearly labeled with a single sale price for all items. However, when I reached the checkout, I was charged a different price. I calmly explained where I had found the item and that there was another identical item on the same rack, yet the manager refused to honor the displayed price.

What made the situation worse was the manager’s attitude. Instead of listening or trying to resolve the issue, they were dismissive and rude, telling me I “should have known better.” That kind of response is not only unprofessional—it’s unacceptable.

Five days ago, I was given a $50 top for my birthday, purchased at your Palm Coast store. However, it did not fit so I returned it, with all the tags attached. To my utter SHOCK, the sales clerk gave me a gift card with $6 -- SIX DOLLARS credit!!! When I questioned her (certain she left off a zero) she explained it this way: because I didn't have the card it was purchased by, she goes back six months and picks the lowest price of the sale item! Well, I walked over to look at the price of the exact shirt. Original price was $52 on sale for $35!! Wow! I wasn't born yesterday! A high end department store never gives you a 90% discount! Went to this store today 10/23/23 drove all the way from Jacksonville to check this place out...i will break down what i thought of this store.

Store condition: The store is Very neat, well kept, organized, clean and well light.

Staff : The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Items offered: They have a large selection over all but wish they offered more tee shirts. Lots of winter stuff.

Now why i only gave them 3 stars...

The prices. They play the mark it up high ...sell it low game. Pretty much everything in the store is 70 to 75% off however you're getting 70% off the marked full retail price and a lot of the items were marked super high up... I did find a few deals but you have to really really search and spend a lot of time there to...
