The layout of the lobby was OK. We did face a pretty pool and hot tub, which looked inviting. There were even tennis courts across from the pool, which is more than I would expect from a budget type of hotel. However....The first nite, being it was February, we wanted a little more than the very light sheet and blanket the room comes with. Usually, one can find another blanket in a closet or drawer, but there was none to be found. I went to call the lobby, but the phone in our room was broken. I used my mobile, and they said I could come down for another blanket. The desk receptionist quickly went to the back and handed me a blanket, though without any plastic covering as I am used to seeing. Sort of like I was at a campsite and someone found an extra blanket for me. The next day, I noticed a big ring in the bathtub, about 1/2 the length of the tub. I was able to flag down what looked like a house cleaning supervisor who confirmed that the phone was broken and agreed that the blanket should have come in a plastic comforter cover. He said the ring in the bathtub was not because of dirt but instead was just a worn-out lining to the tub bottom. Still not a very appealing site, especially if I had planned on taking a bath.||Then came the breakfast. There was a reasonably priced meal called something like, "Eggs my way." However, I asked her to hold the bacon and sausage. I'm done this type of thing many times. I don't expect a lower price, but she said she had to charge me separately for the rest of the supposedly included items, like potatoes and toast. So the total came to $1.00 more than if I had not told them to hold anything. How complicated is being able to hold an item or two and not get charged extra? This was not just a random mistake on her part, since the same thing occurred the next day. Also, on the 2nd and 3rd mornings, they only had extremely green bananas, which even the woman behind the counter agreed were not a good choice. Instead, she offered us a fruit salad. I have never seen so much green rind on the bottom of cantaloupe, as if the one who cut the pieces tried as hard as possible to include all the rind that he/she could.||Otherwise, the staff was attentive, and the room was clean. However, as this hotel has the Marriott name, it seems like it could use much more attention to detail than this one. We certainly will look at other hotels the next time we visit...

Read moreI truly stayed at this location frequently but this last time was awful. Front Desk Agents, Christina and Aurora are nice but……I checked in and found dirty towels and linen. I called the front desk and both were changed out. I wanted to discuss with management and was advised I would be able to speak Brianna the next morning at 8am. I went to the front desk the next morning and was told that I would be speaking with Luis who was set to arrive at 10am. I left and called for Luis and was told he wanted to speak to me in person. Why do I need to speak with the manager in person? My complaints were legitimate. Why does the manager need to see me in person? I did eventually speak with Luis in person who spoke to me in the middle of the lobby floor where guest were walking by. Luis started the conversation saying he knew where I worked, knew my position and knew a lot of employees at my job including managers. Luis went on and on about hospitality and what can and cannot happen in hospitality. He told me I was new in my position at my place of employment and asked me how long I’d been there. Once he finished harassing me about my job and telling me about my hotel room being located on the first floor instead of the 3rd floor I finally advised him that my complaints had to do with the dirty towels and dirty linen and that he needed to separate my line of work with my complaints of dirty towels and linen. He yelled to Brianna to bring the linen from his office and proceeded to tell me that the linen was not dirty and he found nothing. I asked him to spread it out on the floor and look at it and I advised him that I took pictures. Luis said that the Front Desk Agent, Christina told him she didn’t see anything dirty when she came to change the towels and the linen which is a FLAT LIE. He didn’t touch the linen but told me that next time I check into my room they would send someone to inspect it while I’m in it. This is the worst foolishness ever. Luis is insulting, basically threatening talking about my job and who he knows at my job. Worst manager ever. What a complete embarrassment to have someone speak to guest like this. If anyone at my job even mentions anything to me about my stay I will know it was the manager Luis who disclosed my personal...
