Lived at the Vineyards for 2 years and there were constant issues with contacting the main office, not worth the price. By far the worst of the local apartment complexes.
No one would answer the telephone, return phone calls when messages were left, or respond to emails necessitating repeated in-person visits to the office, and there was a constant turn over of staff which meant no continuity in addressing any concerns. The property is exposed to the most amount of wind and sand compared to any other complex in the area to the point that sand was constantly leaking through the window sills and doorways. The landscaping is nonexistent and the complex is not walkable at any point in the year due to the lack of vegetation or shade and the pools were constantly needing to be shut down for cleaning because of this so the facilities were essentially nonexistent.
On move out, the Vineyards did attempt to bill us in excess of $1400 for both carpet cleaning AND replacement? as well as household cleaning despite having photo and video proof that the apartment was left spotless and undamaged in addition to keeping our deposit. We were assured by office staff that the charges would be waived only to find out a year later that it had never been done and the invoice had been forwarded to collections. This in addition to large rent hikes of 10% annually and paying a pet deposit and monthly pet fees meant an absurd increase in...
Read moreUpon initially viewing the apartment, we were given a tour of a similar unit by Elizabeth, which created a positive first impression. Based on this, we had no reason to anticipate any significant issues.
However, upon moving in, we were surprised to find that the kitchen furniture was outdated and in poor condition. The washing machine, which was over 10 years old, malfunctioned within a month. Despite numerous complaints, management was slow to respond. After persistent follow-ups, they eventually replaced the dishwasher, but shortly thereafter, the replacement washer also broke.
Furthermore, the rental rate increased drastically from $1,500 to $2,400 in less than two years. These frequent and substantial rent hikes—some occurring as often as every other month—raise serious concerns.
Additionally, tenant turnover was exceptionally high, with residents frequently moving in and out. When the COVID-19 pandemic began, there was no meaningful support from management, despite widespread job losses and financial hardship among tenants. Requests for assistance were consistently disregarded.
Perhaps most concerning, management appears to have referring us to collections without prior notice, written communication, or an attempt to resolve any alleged balance. The amount they are demanding exceeds $5,000, and given the lack of proper notification, this action may constitute unfair debt...
Read moreThis place started off being great but like most places the honeymoon period wore off quickly. our rent was raised three times over the past 11 months, if you live near the sand dunes just become comfortable with outside being inside. the complex started off with routine and what seemed to bi-weekly landscaping and cleaning I guess they could keep up with that schedule. if you are looking for quite this place is great, but if you are young and expecting to have peers of your age group you won't find that here this is a great place for retirees but that's it. maintenance is decent they can only do so much. the leasing staff was the absolute worst. they could never remember who you were and the community manager when we told them that we were leaving sounded not very happy especially during the time there was a high turn over rate with renters and there was several open units.they are late to inform you on anything and when questioned they say that's standard practice. so to the vineyards hopefully you all can fix your selfs and hopefully this review helps people make a...
